As for stupid, ever see "Reign"? It was supposed to be about Alexander the Great but instead it was about futuristic sickos running around in nothing but codpieces. Awful.
Oh, dear LORD!!! I was TRYING to forget Reign... How can the creator of Aeon Flux (Peter Chung) make such a piece of garbage?

Champloo was okay. It was kinda like Pulp Fiction mixed with Ninja Scroll as a... like a... I don't KNOW?! Thank god it wasn't mixed with Ninja Resurrection instead. Ninja Resurrection just blows. Yep, I'm over 30 and I said it blows...

Now I may be a little more lenient to some fare on Adult Swim, but not all of it is that bad. I kinda laughed that someone described W.H.Robin as the X-files at the cafe from Friends, but I caught a couple of ... (GASP! Blood+ is on now!??':|) Must... change... channel... So much for leniency. I would MUCH rather watch my own disembowelment.

Bebop and Outlaw Star... supposedly 'Star' is a later extension of Bebop... centuries later in the same universe (or so I heard). But I'd rather watch Bebop. Good music by Yoko Kanno. She made the music for Stand Alone Complex too, right?

Did I mention that Pokemon sucks, yet? :-/

No? :eek:

Oh... Well, if you're older than 8... It sucks.

Regarding Reign The Conqueror... I'm curious: did you watch the Japenese version or the American version? One thing I did hear is that the American version was heavily censored. When I watched the series, I had no clue why so many people hated it, to be honest. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but I loved the surrealistic style of the series.

Now, regarding a really bad series (I won't mention series I didn't finish, because there's now way to know if they turn out good or not), I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Shining Tears X Wind yet. The plot is so stupid that it becomes painful.

Elfen Lied isn't bad IMO and please don't include Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni as one of those bad bloody shows (well it's not that bloody but what the heck)

Bleach manga was the good one :) I read it and got addicted to it but after a while got tired -_- Then the anime shows up D:

Another bad anime for me was X/1999, Idk, I just didn't like it :/
Angel Sanctuary went downhill too D:

Also Venetia, there's nothing wrong with liking Naruto and Bleach, we all have different taste :D

Well actually psgels I saw a few eps of Reign on the internet in Japanese because a friend was a fan. I was all kinds of excited because I think Alexander the Great kicks ass, but then they showed it briefly on Adult Swim, and I had the great misfortune of getting home from work right when it was on, and it was the only thing on tv at that time.

It was fairly censored in comparison, but not as much as you'd think, with them running around in codpieces all day. I was just very disillusioned with the take on Alexander, the weird scenery, and the [you say stylish, I say] ugly ass character art. Plus the codpieces. Oh, lordy. The codpieces.

Any .hack// anime. I can walk you through an episode that was meant to take 5 minutes but is somehow dragged out to 30.

int n = 0;
start;
printf("Episode %d",n);
Haseo/Tsukasa(Hakaseo) stares at something while wiser person talks to them about something inane. They leave but on their way out they run into someone. That individual asks something inane, Hakaseo tells them to shove off. *Intermission* Imagine something soothing like ocean waves lapping against the shore. Hakaseo stares at something saving the animators 1 week of work because he isn't going to move for 5 minutes. After an excruciating mind numbing 5 minutes the scene changes to two characters that know Hakaseo. These two will talk about something inane. Loud music chimes in like there's some revelation to the story. *End Credits*
n++;
if WatcherGetsSmart
quit();
else
goto: start;

Most any anime can be dumbed down into a formulaic description. If you're a shounen fan and want action, then watch Bleach or Naruto. If you prefer characterization and plot, then watch something else.

I think Digimon was only the coolest thing to watch hile growing up (MYOTISMON FTW) but I watched an episode for nostalgia's sake and it sucked. It sucked Bullmons bawls.

It was more like one of the old 'hammer' films of the 70's. But they couldn't go into detail in that it was the Earth of the 10,000's after man's subjugation by vampires and their later rise against them. The novel was much better (I have the first six books).

The sequel Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was based on the third novel. More action and dark gothic noir if you're interested, though the ending is a 'little' bit weak (just a little...).

So far, I have two that tie for the worst Anime I have seen...

Digimon and Cowboy Bebop tie as worst for me, but the most boring one I have seen would be Cowboy Bebop...at least the other Seasons of Digimon allowed the Digimon to be in the real world all the time (Season 1 & 2 pretty much had them restricted to the digital world until some giant rift causes the two to be linked, or some portal on a computer opens...)

Ooohhhh trust me, there's plenty worse than Bebop.

Gotta least say that Yoko Kanno's Blues/Jazz score was good.

Okay... mmm... a lousy anime....

Okay, let's try this: A pirate anime where the captain can't even swim and is under a stupid curse of having a body made of rubber, just because he ate some fruit. A ship's cook who doubles as a matre'd kickboxer, and a swordsman who uses '3' swords??? He only has two hands!

Anyone else wanna say just how ridiculous the premise of One Piece really is? It's just another 'we're on a quest to get _______ and meanwhile we have to _____ to get to _____'. Purely formulaic in desiii--- no one should have designed THIS!

Let's see now....

Sailor Moon: So. Old.....

Naruto: I still like it but it's just get's slower and slower..... And I hate the dubbed version

Shuffle: One of my friends showed me it. Got bored after 1 minute

(Iamsephiroth is gonna kill me for this one) Rurouni Kenshin: Just, boring. Is there any anime that doesn't have overly much fighting?

Should I add to my list?

Hamtaro - I forgot this existed... Better that I did. What was the point in that crap anyway?

Megaman NT Warrior - I've always wanted to see a Megaman anime (there's only been like... 3?), but this pile of shit ranks among the highest of "lame".

I can't see anyone really HATING an anime like Claymore. It was good, terrible ending, but good.

The manga is way better, I'm lovin every page of it. Naruto anime is super boring when the filler starts untill shippuuden releases the boringness. And umm..there are alot of animes that are dissapointing in many ways. Mostly the ones almost no one ever heard of. There is some gold in that sea of filth though, if you can find them.
