The Worst/Most Boring Anime You've Ever Watched

Dragonball Z, Pokemon (someone find an 'insulated' mousetrap for that thing!), and Crying Freeman ( DON'T EVEN TRY TO WATCH IT!!!).

For lesser known titles, there were two others... a supposed horror feature called 'The Judge' (almost put me to sleep, and I had insomnia) :s and Ninja Resurrection. That last one people (including the advertisement department) got confused and though it to be a sequel to Ninja Scroll but it wasn't. This sucker ended anti-climactically as the bad guy's 'started' their attack. O_o This OVA was based on some samurai thriller books that had NO FREAKIN' CONCLUSION! EVERY STORY ENDED WITHOUT RESOLUTION SO YOU NEVER KNEW IF HE WON!!! #:( Just like the movie...*grumble*

Yep... I got a few live ones.... :(

One Piece. I heard the title music of the english dub, *click*.
Also Yu-Gi-Oh. Yeah. >.>.....

Not sure if these are better(?) in Japanese, but from what i've seen... yeah... hated them.

I however, thought DBZ was amazing as a kid, and now when I watch it I do have to admit that it's kinda' slow... There are still really freaking cool moments in the show... but yeah, slowness.

This thread makes me cry. T.T So much Digimon bashing. So much dub bashing. T.T (And I do wonder what the heck was with the things cut out of FMA comment? o.o say wah? I've seen the Japanese and English versions and know not of what you speak.)

Anyway...anime's that annoy me.
Boring Category: The first season of Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha put me to sleep. (though...season 2 rocked.) I do find Naruto to be boring and dull, like so many others here. (and on it's dub...yeah Naruto's voice is garbage...but don't go mocking all the others. Yuri Lowenthal, Kate Higgens, and, of course, Crispin Freeman.....*feels crushed by your words*)

Worst? - I HATED HATED HATED Mahoromatic. *shudders at the mere thought* and Sumomo mo Momo mo egah....don't get me started on that thing!

I love DBZ to death but some times you just gotta sucker punch someone in the middle of their, "Oh I'm powered up now you can't hurt me." Speech. It gets annoying when they charge up for 92 episodes as well.

The most bring anime I watched would probably be either DBZ (Later episodes more than the earlier ones). However, I like the DB/Z manga. The whole Buu saga is 6 books, while in the anime its like 100 episodes >_>

I like Naruto and Bleach. As well as FMA.

My favorite anime would have to be Ghost in the Shell.

I like GetBackers, but the anime was kind of...lacking in the later episodes. I read the manga now.

For Inuyasha, I like it (especially the older episodes), but I hate the way they just "ended" the anime.

I forgot to add in the Tales of Animations. Tales of Phantasia was horrid. Tales of Eternia, while alright, wasn't even canon. And I hate Tales of Symphonia with a passion, so it didn't help that it was similar to Tales of Phantasia.

The Xenosaga Animation bored me as well, but at least it was semi interesting (KOS-MOS didn't get much action in it to ME anyways.)

Inuyasha, Naruto, etc. Most generic Shonen that's meant to run for an undecided number of episodes sucks.

If 4kids dubs it, stay the hell away. What you watch is only a shadow of its former self, if that.

DBZ is... yeah... a bunch of overly macho men trying to lay square eggs.

Gundam SEED was good for the first half. But then the Strike Gundam went Kablamo, and Freedom took its place. That's when the series started to suck. The sequel sucks even more.

Pokemon was good for the kiddies when it began, but quickly grew crappy.

Digimon season 1 and 2 were good, 3 started to go downhill(wasn't completely crappy, they did pretty well at some points, especially for the atmosphere in some places), but now just sucks, badly.

Plenty others, there are a tonne of crappy animes out there, but atleast the great ones are really great.

Chronicles of *insert Japanese name which I forgot here*
It was the worst attempt at being funny, EVER.

I'm still waiting for psgels to tell us about the crap he put himself up with before deciding to not even bother with the fanservice-based animes.

@Makio-Kuta: When Basque Guran (i think that's how you spell it) gets his head blowed open by Scar, they cut it out. Its like scar's hand goes on his head--he's dead. wtf. The only dub I ever liked was Trigun and Hellsing.

It's not cut out on the DVD release. Maybe on TV, but it's there on DVD. *just checked*

Lot's of things get cut out for TV releases. But that's the fault of the TV station 9/10 times. Not FUNI or other licensees.

The only thing I hate about 4Kids is that they don't include the original japanese voice tracks on DVDs, like every other dubbing company that I know of does

Nartuo got terribly boring after the Haku/Zabuza arc. Never watched it afterwards.

DBZ, I have no clue why I watched that all the way through. I was young and stupid. And it bored me to no end.

Blood +, completely boring. I liked Blood the Last Vampire much better.

Boring... and hopeless. ':|

They turned Saya from the only remaining 'original' ... 'the beautiful, dangerous creature' that she was into an amnesiatic, worrrying, squeamish wimp that is being ping-ponged from one situation into another. And SINCE WHEN DID SHE NEED TO CUT HERSELF TO KILL 'EM!?!? BAH!

True, the supposed experience in Vietnam may have finally taken its toll on her as she was rather cold and distant in 'Blood'... thus making her have the vampiric equivalent of a nervous breakdown. But it is easier to assume that it was just her character in the movie and had nothing to do with other fights that she's had.

I really enjoyd Blood+, actually. It just fell apart in its final quarter.

Anyway, some really bad anime that I managed to finish somehow (I'm stil not sure why) and that haven't been mentioned:
- Shining Tears X Wind. Honestly, you can't get any cheesier than this one. Episode 12 has got to be the most painful anime-episode I've ever seen.
- Afro Samurai. Gonzo seemed to believe that Samuel L Jackson and action were a guaranteed success for this movie, but it turned into a horribly predictable action-flick.
- Giniro no Kami no Agito. Again by Gonzo, and yet aagain it likes to include useless action and a Mary Sue main character.
- Girls Bravo. This one's basically the biggest reason why I dismiss most fanservice-anime (see TCoFA's comment). The entire plot is basically one huge excuse for fanservice, and it contains more clich?s than you can imagine.

Though with the worst ones I never even went beyond the first episode. Here are some of the more notable ones:
- Zaizen Jotaro. This is probably the anime with the longest title ever, though I abbreviated it here because I can't remember. It features one infamously bad scene, in which our main character makes his entrance, piloting a hypermodern private jet, and ejecting to his place of destination. What happened to the jet, we'll never know. It's basically about a guy who spends way too much money, tracking down government officials who spend way too much money. The irony.
- Saint Beast is a good contender for the award for most boring anime ever. It only took one episode to put me half to sleep, imagine what 12 episodes could do.
- Yoake Mae Yori Ruri-iro na ~ Crescent Love. I've seen a LOT of bad harems up till now, but this one is exceptionally bad. It features the premise of a princess from the moon who comes to live with the protagonist in order to get used to earth's customs. Why? Because he helped her once when they were young.

The worst... Lets see... I'm really not that fond of mainstream anime, so I'm gonna have to say...

Naruto - The mangas all right, but the show is just something that cant hook me. Even if %90 of the girls at my school are.

Pokemon - It was good up until the second movie, then it just went downhill. At least the games are good.

Hamtoro - I couldn't bear watching this. It was just too boring and meaningless. Plus, they merchandised the hell out of it.

(non-dubbed) Sailor Moon - It was a beautifully made piece of anime, and America just butchered it.

@psgels: Girls Bravo? Really? I laughed so hard at that anime. Sure, it's fan-
service, but that's just what the serie is: idiocy. I found it amusing.

Boring stuff... Pokemon advanced, masterquest etc. I only like the League arcs,
when shit is actually finally happening and battles are all over.

On the other hand, Diamond/pearl promises to put an end to the boringness.

Other than that... Naruto became generally boring after episode 100somewhat.
DNangel is badly directed... Shuffle Season 2 is absolute bullshit (it's merely
a recap from the first season, why, the fuck, why?), and (people are going to
hate me for this) Hellsings last few episodes were rather mediocre.

I'm currently watching Narutaru. I don't know what to make of this yet.
It's not boring at all, but i can't say if it's bad, or downright disturbing.
