The last film you saw

Jason

Awesome Bro

Yeah, Dredd was such a good fucking film, I loved every second of it... but like I said in PWOYM (I think it was that thread), it won't be getting a sequel (Despite Alex Garland planning a trilogy) because it's done pretty fucking bad in the box office, lol.

Went to see Looper last night. Although I hadn't heard anything about it before hand, it was that or paranormal activity 4, and well... yeh.
I did enjoy it. But it was a film about time travel... and... well you know, time travel is such a bitch, everyone seems to have their rules on how time travel should work.
So I did what I normally do with time travel movies. Forget about the rules.
I love the ending (Although it's flawed) Some what unexpected.

Skyfall,

it was very decent, which is also why I don't get why I'm sort of disappointed. I think we are spoiled with bond movies. A lot happens in that movie but I guess the scope of it just isn't big enough, you don't feel like it's all some big plot.

I mean in the end it's all this one guy with some money and some computers. Not really as big of a threat as countries or terrorist groups.

Was a good film but cant see why critics/people are calling it the best bond to date.. >.>
what are they, drunk/high when watching it? i seriously thought goldeneye and die another
day was better in terms of story, they just hyped this bond film up way too much cos half
the films filmed in london, which is a first apparently in ANY bond film... and they used the
song "skyfall by adele" WAY too much in the film in its different variations, oh and HOW
MANY products were they advertising in this film? i lost count after 20 odd pmsl.. thats my
latest film and rant ^^

final verdict: 8/10

Looper

was good, very good actually

I liked what they did with telekinese, introducing it so randomly as something that isn't important, and then making it a key aspect that didn't disappoint.

Also I REALLY liked how they hinted at multiple universes by showing multiple timelines and making the end a paradox. I mean there were even multiple hints at Cid being Joe.

"You had this sharp look from under your brown hair" --Cid has a sharp look god damn, and his hair is brown.
"When I first gave you that gun, it was bigger than you" --Joe tells Cid 'that gun is bigger than you, are you going to use it to polevault?'
"My mother used to go with her hands through my hair" --The final shot shows Lara going with her hands through Joe's hair, she'll probably repeat that with Cid.

This could show that in a seperate reality, Cid would grow up to be Joe?

Also http://screenrant.com/looper-ending-exp ... poilers/2/

Also I REALLY loved the sfx when you see Cid's TK pulling the blood out of that man, and hearing Joe exclamate: "The Rainmaker..", that was gooood

The Hobbit

Not bad, not bad at all. But not something I'm jumping to see again though. Seriously inferior to tLOTR. I'm not going out of my way to see parts 2 and 3.

7/10

life of Pi - not a fantastic film but was okay for something different,
very religion orientated. Cant see why critics are saying "if you liked
avatar then you'll like this film" though, the 2 films are not alike in
any stretch of the imagination.
