Lol yeah, although I actually liked the first Hangover better because it was... "new", making a second film AND planning a third with the same story and everything is just terrible.

it takes itself WAY too seriously, if it felt more like a B movie id love it more, but the pacing is balls. dont get my wrong its worth seeing if you wanna kill time but its hard to keep yourself interested.

it really reminded me of SUPER, but mostly because of the 'insane midaged man with tagging-along weirdass teen' schtick

yeah actually it was funny, I watched both those movies within like 2-3 days of each other, and in many ways it's very much the same movie. though ... Hm, Super was probably more endearing, and God Bless America dwelled more on dark humor and absurdity. I'd say I liked Super more, but it also suffered from a fizzle of an ending.

I REALLY didn't like Liv Tyler's character, and appreciated Ellen Paige's character a lot more. Felt really shitty to me that the bright, fun, young, non-addict girl (who only just needed a good dose of ADD medication to become a worthwhile member of society) got killed, but then the pretty-but-a-burnt-out-druggy-whore/stripper gets a second chance at having the fancy life she always wanted.

IMO the world needs more intelligent, fun/interesting girls than recovering addict women who end up not even truly loving the person that saved her anyway b/c he's not attractive/rich enough or something

And The Crimson Bolt winds up, alone, in the same shitty little duplex ... Has the affection of some appreciative people or something, but his newly-well-off ex-wife can't even bother to help him out financially or offer some assistance in getting a new love interest or something, despite owing him her very life? that's pretty lame :/

Just watched Real Steel for the first time, since I got it brand new on bluray for only £1.20, and holy shit this film is BRILLIANT! It's basically one of those underdog stories where they DON'T win (But still gets congratulations and stuff) and the acting was done really well, and the robots were just amazing, not in terms of special effects (Although they looked VERY real) but like, how they acted as if they had some emotion or something I don't know, but I really felt sorry for Atom when he's getting beaten up and shit, not just like WOO ROBOT GETTING MASHED! y'know? (That sounds weird to say/read lol)

So yeah, I REALLY enjoyed the film, like I said it was brilliant!
