The last film you saw

saw les intouchables couple of days ago
idk if they show that in america, but you should really check it out.
it's a movie made in france, french spoken too.
i can't really say anything about it since it'd spoil things, so just take my word on it being that good.

also the music oh god the music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHsnECVc_DE

i saw the dictator too, which was total shit.

i just saw safe.

i've made a habit of checking out all jason statham's films, just because he is so badass.
i mean not just the roles he does, he's badass all round - did you know he was an olympic diver? (i didn't)
anyway, i think a lot of his movies are kind of the same, which is ok, because, you know, it's his thing.
this movie wasn't anything special either, just him being badass and beating the shit out of people.

the directing was amazing though, awesome sequences of shots all over the place, things you don't see in every other shoot-em-up.
i'd reccommend if you're into stuff like that

i should probably tell you that im going to the cinema dressed up as a disctator with my best friends

yeah i will upload the pic

I saw Borat the other day and my god it was the most awkward film I've ever sat through. Like I really wanted to be able to laugh but there was nothing laughworthy; it's like when you watch a sitcom without the laughter track and can see awkward pauses where you're supposed to laugh but they never said anything funny :/

it was shit.

Also vennie yeah, I'm trying to put the costume together :D

Snow White and the Huntsman.

The plot and characters were weak as shit. I'm not sure why people think it is dark fantasy. It's hellah bubble-gum high with light overtones everywhere.

The characters were underdeveloped. Clearly, more time and effort was put into the setting than character depth and interaction. It felt like the sequence of events took place in a week and the characters were all acquaintances throughout. It was hard to take any emotional acting seriously when as a viewer, we aren't shown any character development. It makes the acting look bad when it is the script that is weak and not the actors. People might rage on Kristen Stewart, but she didn't do terrible with what she was given.

They did their damnist to not go the love triangle route, and it shows. It's a shame because it is the one time where it would have fit and given the prince character something to do, while simultaneously fleshing out the two main characters in the process.

What is confusing is that IMDB is loving the shit out of it at the moment. I'm not going to say it was the worst movie of all time, but it was nowhere near being "mreh" status at least either. There are people calling it a classic and that is sad.

Watched Prometheus. They need to stop making trailers more interesting then the movie.

Best part of the movie was when the lady hops into the surgery pod and cuts out her squid baby. Then it staples her back up.

Edit: I actually asked all of these questions and then some.

The Avengers. Yes, I agree it wasn't too good on the plot or character development, but it was darn good entertainment none the less. The most hilarious part was where
Hulk thrashed Loki around like a ragdoll and the line "puny god".

I was feeling space-y; watched Apollo 13 and The Right Stuff
I like Apollo 13 much more. While most critics consider The Right Stuff the "better movie, movie" I found it to be very similar to, and just as boring as Gone with The Wind. (The Right Stuff is still better than that snore-fest by virtue of having astronauts). But then again all I watch these films for is the scientifically-accurate rocketship porn, and there's no way anything in The Right Stuff or, hell, any movie, holds a candle to that glorious Apollo 13 launch scene.

Awesome Bro

Last night I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Yeah I get it guys, you don't like the film! But I watched The Curse of the Black Pearl the night before, which means tonight I'll be watching At World's End and then tomorrow On Stranger Tides (I always end up watching them in order whenever I put one on)

High Hopes

Awesome Bro

I'm not sure if this counts as a film, but I just finished "Bill Engvall: Here's Your Sign"(Bill Engvall is part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour). A really hilarious hour and eleven minutes of stand-up comedy.

Saw Brave at the Movie theater. Then rented The Grey and Harry Potter: The Women in Black.

Brave was a good movie.
The Women in Black was ok. I've seen so many horror/suspense movies; I expected a hundred different twist and turns that didn't happen.
The Grey, not my kind of movie. Framing the poetic irony of the main character's job of shooting wolves and almost committing suicide; ends up surviving a plane crash and being hunted by a wolf pack the whole movie.

props to you, good sir.

last night i watched Hangover 2 ... it was the EXACT same movie as the first! Like, E X A C T, except set in Bangkok instead ;x
