Frenemy. It announces itself as having Zach Galifianakis, the weird guy from The Hangover, but he appears only for 20 minutes and poorly portrays the role of a bad-ass porn shop owner and drug dealer. I rented it because I thought it was a comedy. Who can blame me? This is the title screen.
It truly stares Mathew Modine and Callum Blue, whom I've never heard of before this film. It's supposed to be a narrative of the fine line between good and evil. It's not. It doesn't make any sense. The movie can best be described as a pseudo-intellectual, one-hour dialog between two friends, one of which may or may not be English. In the meantime, and with no apparent motif, they kill a waitress and a cop pursues them. It also has terrible indie music which in no way fits the movie.
I thought about stopping the film three or four times. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The characters are just so empty you can see right through them. Everyone over acts, specially Zach Galifianakis. Some characters don't even have closure. A girl, friend of the dead waitress, starts hitting it off with the cop, and she never comes out again in the entire film. I can't even find an article on Wikipedia or IMLP on this movie. In fact, in Wikipedia, it's not on Zach Galifianakis's filmography.
I rarely get so pissed off, but this movie is a real piece of shit.
