THE best thing i liked about NWN2, is whenever you cast a spell, there'd be an accompanying chant/cast voice to it. that shit was so awesome. no other game does this, there's just a spell or a cast time and that's it. so boring. i just loved that you'd start casting some uber powerful spell and your guy would say some words before casting. shit was so pwn

Psst, Aion does this too

Uh, hi Nox. Actually, just about every fantasy CRPG around the time of Nox :/

Really guys? NWN2? Even with how buggy it was with cutscenes that just *don't fire*, the amazing amount of cut content, and how generally uncompleted the game was? Buying that game is like buying a junk car. It would have been amazing if they wouldn't have hardcore feature-creeped and given up rather than attempt to secure more time for development. (Which they did. The interviews on the development of this game are interesting.)

Oh God, the toolset. Electron was balls.

Different strokes I guess.

nah, I can fully agree with you. it was a buggy piece of crap with pretty cool, extensive character creation options and way too much boring gameplay padding. I never even played with the editor/toolset thing because the default campaign turned me off of it.

NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer is what I really love. despite the minor annoyingness of the "new mechanic" and bugginess from before, it more than redeemed itself in my eyes for having no padding, awesome spells and abilities, and great writing and atmosphere.

Still Fallout 3. I would love to finish the story and all but there's just too much fun to be had in that world and it calls to me.

Also there's Cross Fire. It's a free FPS that I play with my irl friends. It could be better but it has things going for it.

not playing anything atm, but does anyone know of any good mmo's that have good ship (water boat) battles? i played this one pirates of the carribean mmo that had awesome ship battles, imo. one person had to steer the ship, # of people could man cannons, then you had to have a guy in the crow's nest to point out where enemy ships were, and i forget what the other players had to do. probably just hang out and defend the ship from boarders.

anyway, point is, i don't want to play that one again, so does anyone know of an mmo that has ship battles similar or better to that?

so tired of mmorpgs

closest thing i know of was a text-based phone app ;x

FFXII
I forgot how good of a game this is. So I returned to the game, tried to get unstuck from the Barheim Passage (stupid battery mimics.) After 4 hours of restarts, I managed to complete the dungeon, and beat the boss in one try. I got past that, but now I'm stuck again...

D: I should have flee'd less in the beginning...

@Moog, I remember Eternal Eyes. It was the first SRPG I ever played. I remember I found it at our local game store for $2.50, and it was a pretty well spent $2.50 I'd say.
