What games are you currently playing?

I've been busy as of late. I actually picked up Pokemon SoulSilver because Pokemon Silver was by far my absolute most favorite Pokemon game of all time. I played like maybe an hour or so, but it was good nostalgia. I'll probably be playing it on and off casually. I got through like 3 chapters of FFXIII and took a break from playing it. I honestly don't think it's horrible, but I haven't necessarily feel like I've been hooked into playing it. I'll get back to it sometime this week tho'. I've also picked up the God of War Collection recently because I played the demo for GOW3 and thought it was neat. I just wish sometimes that maybe just maybe the industry wouldn't release such awesomeness all at once; my lowly college student wallet runs thin!

I got absolutely sick of soft resetting to get a shiny starter in Heartgold, so I just pokesav-ed in the one of my choice onto a dummy copy of Soulsilver, then traded them onto my actual cartridge.

... And maybe a couple other non-shiny starters.

So I do have a hacked shiny Totodile who will still pass legitimacy checks named Garrus with an OT Shepard. The rest of my team is a plain Cyndaquil named Evidence from Trainer #00001 Karma and a ganjatastic grass starter from #00420 Bob.

Pokesav might be more fun to play around with than the game itself is to play, hmm.

Pokesav is a conveniently-programmed Windows application that lets you toy around with your Pokemon save data, letting you edit in more or less whatever you want--items, specific pokemon with changes of your choice (anywhere from its nickname to its moveset to its hidden stats), and so on.

The caveat is that you need a flashcart to do it, because as far as I'm aware there's no other way to get the .sav file onto a computer, and that you can program the pokemon to have ridiculously high stats that they check for in tournaments.

Not that I'd actually consider competing in one, I'm too chill for that, but I do like the idea that even though I made a pokemon out of thin air, any program checking it would consider it completely real.

Much faster than hitting L+R+Select+Start until you get a shiny starter the real way.

How is God of War III?

I should have the ultimate trilogy edition on Friday depending when it gets here, I got an email saying they've got it in, which is good.

Still playing White Knight Chronicles, Level 35 GR4 at the mo, just been upgrading my gear.

I've still got Final Fantasy XIII in its original packaging with the celophane etc. that my mate bought me last Thursday (For free, lol), but I'm not playing it until I finish what I'm doing on WKC.

Yes! Fragile Dreams is in my possession.
To be frank, I'm actually pretty disappointed... the battle system is extremely linear, button mashing combat, with little control. The random breaking of weapons is annoying at times, and the physics are kind of glitchy (you can't put a flashlight right up to the wall. The light will somehow end up somewhere else).

But if you're playing the game for the story, art, and atmosphere, like me, it's worth it.
And the choice of having the Japanese voice-actors makes it pretty authentic.

I'm playing Fallout 3 (for the first time ever... fuck oblivion/elder scrolls series), Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (haven't actually played it yet but I'll get to it), and Crimson Gem Saga (it looked cool and the clerk hyped it up enough.. it's not that bad actually)

Finished FF13 yesterday, imo the second best FF so far.

- the linearity might be a probleme, but if you can live with Uncharted linearity , you can easely live with this.
- the battle system is fun, but makes the game WAY to easie.. since chapter 7 i've only died 5 times (and 3 times of those where against the the second stage of the final boss). But the last stage was a breeze , got 5 star rating on him (together with the lightning theme :p)
- the story is simple, but pretty well (especially the ending scene was damn cool, only way to short).

but I still can't say I really like the summon design, though I'm liking gesthalt more and more..

I found a used copy of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. I wanted to play this so bad when I was in highschool but couldn't buy it because of the mature rating. Then it was impossible to find. Since i played the S.M.T games that came after it like persona and digital devil saga I'm pretty sure I know what to expect. But it's satisfying just to get a copy.
Also picked up a $5 game Romancing Saga. Praying that it's better then Unlimited Saga, I've never played a game where I got a headache every time. At least this one has 3d graphics and not still images you move around on a blank map. Even calling it a map is a over-statement.

OMG COYOTE. First of all I've only seen one copy of nocturne in my life. ever. I'm actually amazed that you found a copy, your going to fucking love that game bro. i promise you that. (you should let me borrow it sometime, don't plan on beating it anytime this year though, the game is fucking hard and fucking long). Second I had Romancing Saga and that game was really fuckin cool. As soon as you pick a character (I had the guy with white hair i think) you just start off in the game. No story, no plot. Just play. It was mad fun. But I suggest making towo save files because sometimes you can get caught in a town and not have any way off. (it happened to me but i dont remember the circumstances.. i was the guy with white hair though) all in all your really going to enjoy them both

DAO: Awakening. All the stupid review sites are saying it's not a step up because it lack's new features - it's a goddamn expansion pack! An awesome one at that. If you thoroughly played and enjoyed the main game, the expansion is fun. It adds some cool new equipment, more intense battles with some new enemies, and a lot more exploring and side questing filled with micromanagement and all kinds of interesting moral choices. If you're a DA fan, pick it up.

I'm bored and replaying Darklands, Planetscape: Torment, and Vampire Bloodlines: Masquerade.

Bloodlines could have been so much better if Troika just had more time, like most of their games. The first half is always so good. The second half is just so rushed. Still, it is a solid game.

I got gamefly and i'm playing Army of Two: 40th Day and Dragon Origins: Awakening. Honestly, I don't like the latter, I'd rather just play fallout or oblivion (I'd much prefer fallout) then this game, but my friend and little brother play it so i'm just going to keep it until they hurry up and beat that shit.

I got a new PSP for 6 bucks today (yep, 6 bucks), and bought Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. Pretty fun.

... Six bloody dollars for a PSP? Damn that's a good deal, lol...

Yeah, couldn't pass it up. It had ONE problem, but it was SO easy to fix.

Awesome Bro

And what problem was that? :P

I'm gonna' do some more Cie'th missions on Final Fantasy XIII since I've JUST gotten into the open world area of Pulse, it's great, because the first battle I did after fighting Alexander (Which was the first Cie'th mission, lol), I got the enemy to 999% stagger and with his Gesalt mode, hit 180k and got a shiny trophy
