I'm playing brutal Doom 64 today. It's a modified version of Doom 64. Better lighting, and effects. Nightmare imps are bitches now, so becareful.

Playing GW2 again. And now Halloween event is here! Mad King is fun. There's a 'Simon says' event with him himself. Some zerg fest labyrinth PvE thing. Some ghost hunting achievement collector-thon. And to top it all of; the (brutal) Clock Tower jumping puzzle. I failed to complete it for a whole 90 minutes. I love it.

I played through Diablo 3 the other week really quick with my lv60 character.

I was playing .hack//GU last night on my ps3. But my ps3 died again, it lasted a lot longer time this time. But at this point it's cheaper to just replace it than repair it.

I was doing a practice speed run, so I had only played an hour. I and try it again tonight on my ps2.

G.U. isn't a very fun speedrun. You have to go through a tutorial level and then a repeat tutorial for story reason. There's an 8month timeskip between the tutorial and the rest of game which is when the //roots anime takes place. Haseo's character gets reformatted and everyone treats him like a noob. And of course the you share his annoyance because you're redoing everything you just did starting at lv1 again.

Gonna get the remaster on PS4?

Probably not. Still don't own a ps4, for one thing.
I am interested in the new 4th vol. But it's strange nobody is really talking about it. They just calling it a remaster for the most part. Maybe there's not a lot to it? New town? New dungeons? Skills? Characters?
I've seen a few scenes and it looks kinda choppy, frame by frame hand rendered animation. So I have my doubts that vol 4 "Reconnection" will be the same length as the other vols. And in the Japanese trailer they use the word "episode" - like it might not be a full game.

Personally, I think remasters need more than just HD textures. I want to see more articulation in the eyes and mouths. Like when a character spins around, rather than pivot around their center I want to see the eyes and head turn first followed by the rest of the body and actually pick up their feet.
The voice acting in GU could use some redos at certain points because they were just recycling tracks, so the tone didn't match the scene at all.
And you know, general improvements to the game as a whole. Like when you break an object and get an item, the notification message shouldn't pause the game. It should be a seamless floating message the fades out instead. I wish the bike movement had more agility; better physics.

I'm playing a really cool RTS survival horror game called 'They are Billions'. An awesome steam punk style game that can display 20,000 zombies on screen. It features base building, defenses, exploration, and upgrades. It plays like tower defense real time strategy game. It's still in beta.

They are really billions of zombies. LOL.

I haven't played a Call of Duty game since playing on a friend's Xbox in 2005 or 6. I pretty much never play anything PVP, and $60 for a Call of Duty single-player campaign isn't worth it. I would pick up some of the back catalog if they ever went below $10 on a Steam sale, but that never happens.

Edit: Just a side note here. I remember someone mentioning why CoD never has a real sale. It's because the game is meant to be played multiplayer and Activision wants to keep everyone on the same version. There are really no significant changes in gameplay from one CoD to the next; it's not like someone would want to buy or stick with an old version because it's different. Then if the choice is between a 10-year-old game that no one plays anymore, or the latest version for just a few bucks more, and it's the same game but with better graphics and all your friends are playing it, everyone will want the latest version.

Or if I'm totally misunderstanding the game and its pricing strategy, let me know.

Playing Legend of Mana. it's weird because it's just a bunch of seemingly unrelated short story missions. It's hard to get into at first. Lots of quirky characters. I'm about 5hrs into it and I'm starting to see some kind of story arc. .

I've never really looked into Legend, thanks for highlighting it again for me. The art-style is exactly what I was looking at for my current project, I might see about getting hold of Legend and checking it out for myself. Thanks again.

EDIT: Thanks once more coyotecraft, this game was just the inspiration I needed right now!

Legend of Mana has Kingdom Hearts musical stylings. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance World Map placement and mission based story progression. There's a race of Gem people similar to Steven Universe, only they die if you take away their "cores".

But you play as a Silent Protagonist. And the stories aren't really compelling. There's like pirate penguins, but one penguin has a wife that's possibly laying an egg. So you chase them to the end of the level. And the wife is like, "there is no egg. I was just thinking of the future. Go be a pirate like you want." Then he leaves. And she says "I can't raise an egg with a pirate." Mission complete.
I don't know where the game is going with all this yet. Or if it's going anywhere at all.

Been playing Jak 3 with my nephew. I do all the challenging stuff. He drives into walls and occupies himself shooting infinitely spawning enemies.
I've got him halfway through the game. He's not paying attention to the story at all. So while he's asleep I'm speeding through a bunch of missions. And by speeding I mean, re-trying 10 million times.
I'd like to get him to the ending, so he feels like he accomplished something.
