I had a RuneScape account way back before 2010. It's at least 10 years old. I stopped playing between when before random events were removed and before EoC was introduced.
I have very fond memories of RuneScape as a result, and it's a strange feeling to come back after several years and see how much the playerbase has changed. Even the p2p trade worlds are still super active, even if about +1000 players. I also find some of RuneScape's lore and quest storylines interesting to me, such as the lore behind Runecrafting, the gods (such as Guthix) and certain quest storylines like the Myreque and Vampyres.

My little sister gave me her xbox 360 so I went out and bought oblivion because I really missed playing that game. I come home and pop it in only to have a parental block pop up and when I called my mom she couldn't remember the password or the answer to the security question. I've been on hold with Microsoft for about 20 minutes, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to chalk this up as a loss.
Runescape is genuinely a great game and the membership is totally worth it if you're into questing and stuff too... it's also still rather active, although since coming back I've yet to see a full world yet, I remember when World 1 and 2/3 (Can't remember which is F2P and P2P world) would constantly say "FULL" and you had to queue to get in, the grand exchange would be completely packed to the point my computer would lag, lol... now they're usually around 1000 each, and most worlds admittedly are dead... but for how long the game has been going, I'd consider it active.
I've been playing Until Dawn for the last few days, within the first hour or so I figured out who I wanted to live, and who would die... well that went down the shitter when two of the three people I wanted to survive have died... I hate games like this with multiple endings and choices! Screw you non-linear storytelling! Now I'm not sure if I should just try and keep the rest of the people alive, or kill everyone off.

Came in the mail today. My memory stick isn't big enough hold the English patch. Bummer. But that's ok, maybe this will help me practice and retain my Japanese.
Compared to the Orginal Ps1 game, everything in this game runs so smoothly. Battles are a breeze, Menus are snappy. Digivolving feels like a legitimate power up. I love it.

Thinking about Final Fantasy XI Online again. Almost renewed my subscription.
Probably the new pirates of the Caribbean movie...and I'm thinking about making Ships and Island resources for MV.
All that imagery is reminding me of the Elshimo region in FFXI. And this one pirate quest I couldn't get to spawn because it's a rare random event when you ride a ferry.

Ok, I caved and jumped back into FFXI.
Fought all the Prime Avatars twice to clear one mission and then again to open up the Fenrir battle. Can't solo Fenrir or Diabolos at my current level.
I'm at level 95. Haven't cleared the mission for the 99lv cap yet, but at this point there's not a whole lot I'm interest in doing after that. So much of the game is obsolete at this point. Just clearing out all these quests to get unsaleable items out of my inventory once and for all.

I loved the old Sonny flash games (an RPG where you play as a zombie). I recently found out the developer has made a reboot of sorts for iOS and Steam. What I think of it so far...
+ Better graphics.
+ Full screen (finally)
+ New 'evolution' mechanic.
+ Better paced and thought-out story
- Lack of animations.
- Appearance no longer reflects what gear is worn.
- Simplified combat (less stats, elemental attacks don't impact decisions, no mana resource anymore)
- Simplified squad AI; used to be able to change their behaviours between multiple presets.
- Less Voicework
- Simplified talent trees and player development.
- Evolution mechanic is too random.
- UI not optimised for PC.
Regardless to say, it isn't reviewing so well... Probably has something to do with the reboot being designed for mobile primarily
