Welcome to HBGames, a leading amateur game development forum and Discord server. All are welcome, and amongst our ranks you will find experts in their field from all aspects of video game design and development.

What games are you currently playing?

also do you guys remember the teaser trailer for the game released a while back where Elizabeth accidentally opens a rift to the modern age, and a truck whizzes by?

man it would have been cool for that kind of dynamic to have presented itself.

but, and this is not spoiling anything, because it was a bigger spoiler for me to go through the game and keep trying to find it: that scene does not exist in the game and you never "go" to any modern era. so don't bother trying to find it or worry you missed something :)

Awesome Bro

Been playing Chivalry with my brother for the last few hours, hadn't played it in a while, and decided to pop on and see if it's still populated, since War of the Roses died so quickly, like, literally a month after release it was dead, you're lucky to find more than 5 servers, and each one is almost empty, and has a ping of 400+

Anyways, yeah, Chivalry, it's always fun to chop a guys leg off and watch him stand there hopping before he falls over and dies

I played a new game of Catherine the other day but kept my meter in the red when making decisions to get the Demon ending. It's weird how much time can pass playing that game and I don't get bored. I see blocks when I close my eyes and start visualizing how to move them.

So I had purchased Bioshock Infinite on release day and like many of the titles I buy because I am an irresponsible gamer, it just lay there unopened. Feeling I needed a break from Valkyrie Chronicles (which by the way is the tits for sure) I forced myself to start Infinite. I couldn't put it down. I finally forced myself to do it, stopping at the part with Cpt. Slate. Now I'm beginning to wonder if I should have played Bioshock 1 and 2. I have both and have not played either. :(

they don't have hardly anything to do with this one other than the mechanics are the same and key characters are the same and there are a few "throwbacks" to 1.

don't bother with 2.

1 was a pretty incredible game in its time but once the ending is spoiled it gets dull towards the middle of it. you're better off watching a highlights reel or hastened playthrough or something. unless you have a lot of time to kill and don't get bored easy. if you try to play it AFTER playing Infinite you WILL get bored. Infinite's gameplay is LEAGUES more engaging. Though Bioshock 1's writing was arguably better.

before playing more of Infinite though I DO recommend that you look up key imagery from Rapture & Bioshock briefly (especially shots concerning the beginning of the game). because there's a semi-big "reveal" at a point that shows some very basic, key imagery that is supposed to make Bioshock veterans go "oh shit" without being explained. you'll have more fun if you already know what you're looking at. (no, Infinite players, it's not the obvious thing, it's the other thing, the core concept thing)

I'm currently breeding bees in a minecraft modpack. I have this really nice breed going, but I have to find a way to remove their habit of hitting me with lightning bolts.

Hotline Miami and holy tits this game gets difficult. Takes either really slow pacing or flawless execution to consistently do well, and only the latter really gets you a good grade. The story is surprisingly interesting too, considering what kind of game it is.

For the last half hour or so I've been playing Limbo, got it free with one of those humble bundles sometime last year, but I'd never bothered with it until today...

How silly of me.

It's absolutely brilliant...

Injustice: Gods Among Us

Just imagine the latest Mortal Kombat... but with superheroes. Yeah, it's that. I LOVED Mortal Kombat, and y'know, I get to play as the Flash beating the fuck out of Harley Quinn, because she annoys me, lol. I'm surprisingly very good at it, haven't played a fighting game in a while, picked this up, looked at the moves list, got in there and BOOM 37 hit combo while fighting my brother!

Also, there's some REALLY cool super moves too... for example, Flash punches them, then runs around the world, uppercuts them, jumps into the air, and knocks them back down, 'tis really cool.

Rayman orgins.
Every time I do those chasing treasure challenge all I can think about is rotating dadevster head because the music is so rowdy.

Chivalry with my mate. People hate it when you run around with your fists punching them, since punching is faster (And quite strong if you hit them in the face) and it's easier to get around shields with them... apparently it's classed as cheating and a lot of people think the developers were stupid for allowing it...

Oh well, running up to someone while screaming AAAAAAAARGH! and then uppercutting their head off is...

Fun.
