Thanks for the input and yea i was sorta edging towards a rpg intro-ish as i think a friend of mine wants to use it for his project X_x and dnt worry yours couldnt be any worse then mine xD and sure ill link it to a direct Mp3 and when your entry is up i think its your turn to set a topic ^-^

I have very little experience with any form of music creation, the most I've really done is tried to record actual instruments (ie guitar) and singing and use a program to synth a drum beat as my band of the time didn't have a drummer...

I do have a midi keyboard at home but I can't get to it untill after Christmas... that being said, let me dig up my old copy of Magix and I'll see what I can create, still the same theme Zeak posted yes?

I admit from the get go that it is made as a compilation of sound clips...I really need my keyboard before I am going to really go for using the midi input. Is there any way with Magix 15 or any other program that the laptop / pc keyboard could emulate the keys of a musical keyboard?

anyways, i like this alot! the opening and sound effects are really cool and somber man. the sound clips fit perfectly with the soft bell percussion. the heavy drum parts seem a tad over done, you dont want to change from a spooky forest theme-to a march theme. but overall i liked it alot man. great work!

Okay, so here is my entry for the romantic theme. Again please be brutal. I've noticed since exporting to mp3 some of the timings have been scewed... but considdering this one is all me, no sound effects and no imported sound bites...

Tried to go with a serene melodic theme for this, something a little dreamy. Tell me what you think:

yeah man this was great, i really enjoyed this! dont be some hard on your self, this was well put together. my only qualm was the middle section, without the back synth sounded a tad muddy. but great overall man. good stuff

samot: zelda 2 much ? I like the opening and the bell melody is nice. it flows quite well with the soft strings, but perhaps you could tweak them a bit? and whooooa the percussion is kinda soft to me. it ended abruptly but i think you said its a wip soooo gj! i like it :3

also if you do that make sure all the songs link to places with streams (or youtube)
(probablymaybe a good idea to rehost them on bb.ohsk.com for people with quicktime)

Moog, I liked your piece, but I find it a little boring... maybe it's just me, but I felt that it was too linear and possibly too simple? anything with it that would give a little extra layer or varition would be nice, I did find it peaceful though.

@illitum: thanks, and yeah i see what you mean! i was kinda at a loss for being creative and got pretty copy paste happy >_> but yeah, another layer sounds like a good idea

I went for a really heavy unanswered kind of romance with this one

@zeak - That is a bit flat in my opinion. I listened to version 1, and it just seems like random notes put together.. nothing like what i expected after the spooky theme entry.. i miss extra instruments and additions overall

@Illitum - holy shit i really love the part when the flute goes solo for a bit
if i close my eyes there i can see someone staring out of a window, looking at a field, or someone he/she loves
tis a bit too happy though, not my kind of romance.. but romance can be happy too :D

@moogatlet - basically what Illitum said.. a second instrument or layer wouldn't do any harm
and the melody is a bit uninspired too.. starts out okay, but i get bored after a minute
romance isn't boring~ :D (no offense btw)
