I like the offset grey-green colors for the ends of the ears, tail fluff, and around the eyes. Very nice pixel work.

The actual shading is a little too dithered for my tastes. I prefer things to look more realistic. We're not still all using DOS and Windows 3.1, we can make some decent looking graphics :P

Yeah I have to agree with prexus about the dithering. It's kinda making it look a bit on the grainy side because of it. Also the last few hylights might be a bit too contrasted against the rest of the brown though I'm not sure what texture the animal is. Nice concept. It's really turning out lovely.

i love your Sedrik! I myself was think of making a deer-goat thing for riding (great minds think alike lol) It's nice seeing someone the the same sort of idea actually do it XD. Makes me wanna work on mine too lol.

Sorry I'm a day late!!! I've been feeling under the weather :s

Woot! Close to 4,000 views and getting near 100 posts. I feel so loved <3
(Admittedly probably 3/4ths are probably by me and only a handful of people, but still :'D)

Update to 1st page -- Interior WIP. Don't forget to refresh the 'ol cache ;').
Added some standing/table candelabras and some standing/table vases, and a wrought iron coatrack with hat & coat accessories. There are outlines (but not shading) of an ornate wall sconce, a ceiling-hung chandelier, and an antique gramophone. Oh, I'm also revising those ugly ass table legs.

Has there ever been an RMXP chandelier? I've never seen one XD. Ceiling stuff admittedly looks a little busy in top-down views, but as a chandelier should be hanging over a table, and shouldn't really obstruct a character or his path, I think it'll just be eye-candy. Hopefully. ... Maybe.

Really? Aw, I rather like the dithering. A lot of my tileset crap uses dithering, too. It's because I actually prefer the look of dithering. Maybe it's because I'm such an old school gamer? XD

I did try to smooth out the shading but it lost all its furry-ish texture. I can post how the smoother version looks later but I'm not a huge fan of it. Plus that version uses like 90-something colors instead of the 19 or so in the dithered one. I realize RMXP can use 16 million colors but I like to keep the palette simple mostly :'/. It especially helps for recoloring. I no longer like to use color shifting but now prefer to do full palette swaps. It always ends up looking better, and that's nearly impossible when dealing with 90-something colors.

Also I did an outline for the frontview but I just can't seem to get the ears right. When I put them back they look stupid, when I put them far out to either side they look stupid .... Anyway here's what I got so far there.

http://pixelcocktail.com/hosted_items/i ... ikWIP2.png[/IMG] Yes, I realize the shading's not there ;)

Edit, 9pm EST: Added outlines for more stuff. Spice rack, plate rack, pitcher, cookie/spice jars, decorative wall shelf/sconce ... thing.

I'm slowly doing the stuff you suggested, Lunarea. Anybody got any other crap they'd like to see in this thing, shoot! XD

I'm also trying to address some of the items expressed in this thread by Scriptkitty:

:'/ Well I hate to admit it but I started it late July and it's still not done, so it'll probably be done around late October/Early November. Just trying to be realistic. The big stuff is done but accessories are hard to do because they use a wide variety of shapes and palettes.

Also I have a life, school, full-time work, and commission projects to worry over, so everything's on a kind of as-I-get-a-chance-to basis.

Just be patient, I'll get there :'D

Yep, I know. Not that from work and stuff, but that you have a life, I know!
But I just cant wait:D it looks SOO nice.

Wow... I don't like the bigger sprites, myself, but I'll surely find the smaller-scale stuff useful (and I can't wait to get into this giant sack of RTP stuff :D). Thanks for sharing, and I'll be watching the thread ^^

These are incredibly beautiful works of art. Thanks for the generosity you show by letting others use these! I am truly grateful.

:3 Thanks!

Well since this has been brought to 1st page again I'm sure everyone noticed I skipped updates.

Know why? A lightning bolt shorted my main computer's PSU and motherboard. And hopefully that's all, but I dunno. (A TV set and my A/C were shorted too, atleast I got the A/C working however.)

All my stuff's on that comp. I can't do anything with it until the comp is restored.

:(
