Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. It was WAYYYY too hard, holy crap, but still, great memories. Then Earthbound - I didn't like it but i would come back later and love it. Then Chrono trigger - CT was what got me hooked on it.
I'd be an inquisitive 9 or 10 year old that couldn't understamd how turn based battles work and couldn't get past the first real boss, Yakra... and then i was stuck on the dragon tank for a week or two... and then the security system for about a month... but all this time i was playing other people's files near the end of the game (lol renting) and getting my ass kicked by lavos, dicking around in prehistory and the future, only i never, ever understood why 12,000 BC was full of water. It puzzled me to no end.
I spent like the next 6 months determined to play the game up to that point and find out what happened, all the while trying to deduce the mystery. and it was rough. OF course when i finally got there I noticed that 12,000 BC wasn't flooded and zeal and etc and my ten year old mind was blown away.
