I'm down to around 141 pounds (tht's 14 stone and 1 pound for you redcoats), 140 if I haven't ate. It hasn't been a week and I'm down 4 pounds. ....Cool?

... No it isn't -.-"

That's 10st and 1 pound....

On Saturday I did several sets of crunches and a lot of stretching. Yesterday I did some really heavyduty yardwork, despite it being like a million degrees out.
Today my glutes and hamstrings are KILLING ME aaaaaaaaaaa

I was gonna do an hour of biking on mondays/wednesdays/fridays, but my butt is like two giant bruises or something so maybe I'll just do some yoga and call it a day ~~~

Been managing to keep it at around 1400 calories a day. Need to knock it down to 1100/day if I want some progress but ... I can't give up soda ;o;. I've tried! I just ... Can't! ;o;!!!!!

AFAIK, British sizes are about 2 sizes up from American sizes. You can't go on size 0 as a comparison because that actually varies wildly in the US. Not sure why.
But it depends on the clothing manufacturer. My soon-to-be-mother-in-law gave me a pair of size 8 pants from the UK when I was a size 8 and it fit fine. It probably also depends on the cut.

Back day is this afternoon. Right now I'm making all kinds of grimacing faces and cough/gagging noises from taking my multivitamins. They come in packs of 11, and I have to swallow each one, each being like an inch thick. I don't care that Animal Pak is a good brand, I'll be buying optimen soon since I can't tolerate AP anymore. Hopefully the pull up bar is open today, otherwise I'll have to go to a heavier lift and do an extra 3-4 sets for warm up, which usually sucks balls. I haven't weighed myself yet or taken measurements, so I don't know how much I've progressed, however, I can't see it being that much since I just started.

I was really trying to stick with this, but so far not so good... I mean, each morning I've been doing 50 push ups and 50 sit ups (Well, this is since Sunday, so only 3 days) (Sit ups are SO hard to do! Whenever I try to lift my head and body up, my legs come up in the air too! I should really do them on the bench instead of on my bedroom floor...) but I've not been eating very healthily, I mean, I got up and had 500ml of flavoured water along with a bowl of 2 weetabix (Had to use full fat milk sadly) with a sprinke of sugar (They're not so nice on their own), which wasn't too bad... then I didn't have anything to eat for 5 hours, and had spaghetti bolognese, but my mam has a tendency to think she's feeding a family of elephants, so there was a lot on my plate, and I always feel guilty if I waste something on my plate, so naturally I ate it all... that was about 2 hours ago, and now I'm sat with a litre of Volvic apple juice (Which is 73 calories and 17.5% of my daily sugar intake per 250m) and 140g bag of Galaxy counters which is 185 calories per 35g serving... I haven't opened the bag yet though, so I'll probably TRY to just eat a handful and hide the rest for tomorrow or something...

God I need to start eating more healthily if I want to lose more weight, I'm not doing enough exercise to lose it alone D:

So I've managed to just have 250ml of apple juice and only had like... 6-7 counters (You get about 40 in a pack so yeah not too bad) and I've put them away, not going to touch them for the rest of today... sort of makes me feel better about myself since it's only... 258 calories there... the flavoured water I had earlier, apparently there's only 2 calories in an entire litre, which I doubt but maybe it's true... the only reason I just had apple juice now is that it tastes better, lol. Also, does anyone know how many calories is in two weetabix and two sprinkles of sugar with a teaspoon?

God knows how much calories, fat, sugars, whatever else... was in my mams spaghetti bolognese, but pasta is supposed to make you feel full for longer, right? I'll probably end up not having anything to eat for the next 4 hours anyway... give the food time to digest without shoving more down, lol

I don't know what weetabix are, but a tsp of regular sugar is like 15-20 calories.

Let me suggest http://calorieking.com for counting calories ... They have calorie counts for SO MANY THINGS. Including lists for how long it would take to work off all those calories!

It says Spaghetti + Tomato Sauce + Meatballs (close enough) is 970 calories ...
http://www.calorieking.com/foods/calori ... 2MDQ0.html
(1 serving = 5oz dry spaghetti, 8 small meatballs, 1-1/2 cup tomato sauce)

So I've just sort of tallied up my calories for today and actually it isn't looking too bad...

500ml of flavoured water: It says 2 calories on the bottle, so let's say 5, lol...
2 Weetabix with about 200ml of full fat milk and a sprinkle of sugar: added together that's around 300 for the Weetabix and milk, and about 20 for the sugar (DAYUM SUGAR!), 320
500ml of apple juice (I drank the rest of the bottle, oops...): 150 (Well it's actually 146 but I like 5's and 0's...)
35g (Well, not exact but as close as I'd imagine a quarter bag being) of Galaxy counters: 185

Altogether that makes a total of: 660

And on top of that was my big meal of the day, which was spaghetti bolognese, which wasn't so much spaghetti but pasta shells and twists, lol... and I had quite a lot actually, on my plate it was about the size of four of my fists... so yeah...

However, if I say it was like anywhere between 1000-1500 (Yeah big range but whatever, I seriously have no idea how much) that still puts me between 1660 and 2160 calories for today... it's probably higher based on that meal alone, but like I said, I seriously have no idea how many calories were in it, since, well, there isn't a packet or anything it's just all home made, lol.

... I've also had a pretty big poop today :thumb:

Also just checked my BMI, it's 24.04... so still in the healthy section but only by a little bit (Between 20-25 amirite?)

And apparently, my ideal weight is actually 11st 1 lb, which is 155 lbs, and I've just weighed myself and right now I'm 11st 4 lbs, which is 158 lbs... so I'm pretty close, although I want to lose more, I want to drop below 11st (154 lbs) to around 10st actually (140 lbs) and then add a little muscle on top of that to bring my weight up a little... not sure how much but meh... I'll manage it somehow!

So I just decided I was REALLY hungry after eating nothing for 5 hours except a few counters (Well... like I said, 6-7), but was like fuuuuuuu what to have?! So I had... TOAST! Only one slice, of brown seeded bread, since it's the lowest calorie bread we have, AND it tastes gorgeous (My favourite bread, love seeded stuff!), with just some light margarine (Fuck butter! It tastes the same, just better for you) on it, the slice of bread was 160 calories though! and the marge was 5 calories for the amount I used (One teaspoon)... so add 165 to my total calorie count for today...

How much is the daily guideline for a 20 year old male anyway? Somewhere between 2500-3000, right? And how many calories should I be knocking off that to be able to lose weight easier?

http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

from guessing, i'd estimate that you need ~2200 to maintain. then to lose 1 lb per week, eat 500 calories less than your daily intake per day.
(500cal x 7days = 3500 cals = ~1lb of fat)

so you'd want to consume about 1700cals or less per day to see any weight loss progress.

it's not THAT clear cut and simple when you don't have a whole lot of fat left. your body will break down other things (like muscle) in order to try to hold onto your fat, when your fat % starts to get low enough. so keep pounding protein and frequentish exercise to keep your body doing what you want.

1 lb a week doesn't seem like much... isn't there a way I could lose maybe double that? If I do more exercise for example?

JBrist, when you get to lower body fat percentages, 1 pound - 2 pounds is a massive difference, especially since losing weight at lower body fat percentages is the most difficult thing.

1 pound/week is a good amount for someone who isn't 22% and above (if male), especially if they aren't ridiculously skinny fat. Fat loss, like muscle gain, takes a lot of time and dedication.. just keep pushing through and you will find the strength to do anything. It's actually fascinating how an accomplishment like that can translate into your entire life, just keep on struggling until you meet your goals, and enjoy every second of your pain, since pain is temporary but confidence lasts forever.

So today was the same as yesterday pretty much, except I woke up a little late and didn't have time to exercise, but I DID walk to work which is like 1.5 miles away if that helps at all? D:

I think my calorie intake today has been a bit lower than yesterday actually, I've had:

2 Weetabix with only half fat milk today, and a smaller sprinkle of sugar so there's just a tad of sweetness, I actually found out this all adds up to just 220 calories, which is great!
1 litre of Volvic apple juice (I can't help drinking it, it's so good!) which is 292 calories, but then I've also had half a litre of Volvic lime and lemon water, which is 100 calories per 500ml bottle (The apple juice is 146 calories per 500ml bottle), so in total that's 392 but that's lasted 15 hours... (Still got about 300ml left in this bottle actually... but once I've finished it, it'll make the whole 392 calorie count)
A handful of Galaxy counters, like literally just 8 of them because I fancied something sweet but knew I couldn't let loose on them, that's around 100 calories (I found out from a dietician that comes into my store that just a handful or so is actually healthy to get my daily sugar and... something else levels where they need to be, and that there's more in a 35g serving than I was eating anyway)
A bowl of bite size Shredded Wheat with another sprinkle of sugar (This stuff doesn't taste too nice on its own), which is 210 calories
A slice of toast with margarine (If I say butter it means marge, since that's all we buy anyway): 110

So far that equals: 1032

Then my "big" meal of the day was bread crumbed chicken strips with chips and two slices of bread, the big thing here is the bread though, I worked out from the package that my chicken strips was only around 350 calories or so for 5 of them, but the bread equals around 220 calories on its own (Buttered, well, margarine)... and the chips, not too sure actually, although I didn't have THAT many, or not as many as usual anyway, but I'm guessing it doesn't help since y'know... potato... I'm not sure of the calories, hmm... meh I'll leave it blank and see how I'm doing without 'em anyway

Overall (Minus the chips): 1602

The chips were done in the oven too instead of the deep fat fryer... so I guess that makes 'em a little more... healthy lol.

The portion of chips was equal to around... the size of two of my fists on a plate... not sure what that equals to but yeah.

I'm actually not too sure how if I've done better today or not... probably worse actually, and it didn't help that I had the toast and shredded wheat in the last hour and half either, but I didn't have anything to eat between around 4:30pm and 11pm when I had the toast, and then midnight (Half an hour ago, lol) when I had the cereal...

So yeah... food wise, it's a little meh, not sure if I'm doing good or bad here, I'm gonna' have to work extra hard on my exercising lol... also, my dad says starting from the weekend, the treadmill will be fine to use, since he's cleared that part of the gym out now so it's usable, still no TV or PS3 though D: but thankfully I can still hook my phone up to the speakers (7.1 Surround sound in the gym, yay!) and listen to music as I run... won't be able to use the bench for weights or anything though since, well... they're not in the gym at the moment, they're in his shed since he moved things out so he can work on... whatever it is he's doing...

I assume the treadmill will still be beneficial to me, right? How many minutes should I use it a day, and how many days a week do you think would be suitable? ... and should I alternate between sprinting, jogging and walking? I heard somewhere (And not here... somewhere in the REAL world!) that it can help lots if you do this...
