I've managed to actually gain a little weight, but not much. I eat a metric fuckton of food I shouldn't and do basic lifting, pushups and situps. Any suggestions on how to gain weight in general? Body fat would be appreciated.
Since your somatotype is ectomorph, you're going to have a slightly difficult time putting on weight.
Ectomorph = Small joints, thin, fast metabolism, low bf, hard time putting on weight.
Mesomorph = bigger joints, muscular, moderate metabolism, moderate body fat, easy time putting on muscle and fat
Endomorph = Big joints, fat, slow metabolism, high body fat, hard time losing weight.
You'll need to be eating in a surplus, and if that isn't doing it for you (and by the sounds of it, it isn't), get a good weight gainer protein shake. One scoop of that equates to around 1000 kcals (kilocals, in case you didn't know is the proper name for calories) depending on the brand, and is very easy to drink down. Have one or two of those a day coupled with your regular diet (hopefully you're eating SOME nutrient dense food), and then add a strength training program (plyo/calisthenics are all right), and you should be able to see yourself putting on weight.
Some body-weight exercises I recommend:
Wide grip pull ups
Chin ups
Push ups
body squats (weight added later on)
pistol squats
muscle ups
dips
if you can:
Planche
wall assisted push ups (you stand on your hands, lean against the wall, and do a push up)
practicing handstands
Wall sits for at least 1 minute
I will ALWAYS suggest getting a gym membership and doing compound lifts, focusing mostly on strength since size follows suit, however, if it isn't possible or doesn't interest you enough to spend the money (cause let's face it, gym memberships are expensive AND they try their best to persuade you into staying if you want to quit), then those exercises I've listed will aid you tremendously. Also, make sure to do your own research, as there's a fuck ton of bodyweight exercises I haven't mentioned and don't know aboot.
