Post What's on Your Mind

It's 2:30am here right now. Woke up at 10am Saturday, starting programming immediately, did not stop until about 40 minutes ago.
I said to a potential client that I will see if I can get a demo working of some technology this weekend; this is to show them that it is a very low-risk project. Pretty much wanted to get the demo done and out of the way, I want some time to relax Sunday (and my god do I need it now).

Brain hurts massively from all the maths and technology I had to force it to think about. I don't even want to look at my source line of count for today.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blood was an AMAZING anime. Finished that and season 3 of Attack on Titan. Those 2 anime just blow me away with the action and story and involvement. Now to fill the void of binging anime I’ve finally succumbed to my stubbornness and I’m watching My Hero. It’s quite the flip going from serious and realistic anime to this goofy stuff.

I just saw the trailer. I am really surprised to say that it looks like this movie isn't going to completely suck.
I wouldn't go that far just yet, but it exists which is amazing

Two pieces of feedback from my course leader today have helped reassure me that I'm on the right course and that I'm not doing as bad as I thought.
1. From what he's seen from our games we could submit them now and get a pass. Even though we still have two weeks to work on them.
2. Our class has a skewed perspective on what is expected of us because so many of us have provided work that is above and beyond our requirements.

The first one is comforting and means I can focus more on the other assignments.
The second one is comforting because some people in our class are purely amazing. I'm average right now, my first assignment was graded as mostly mid marks. The peer review of my essay was also graded at around mid marks. So I'm average. And I'm fine with that. It gives me a lot of room for improvement.

This course is stressful and some of my friends have broken down and said "I want to quit" and even I have thought that at times however our course leader has helped reassure me, and now I can reassure my friends.

Although it probably helps if you don't have a major breakdown halfway through the first year and never recover from it and never really go to Uni.

I'm probably going to end up that way. I don't value my own time and if I'm not working I feel guilty. I'm one of the class reps which means I constantly have to keep up with my peers in terms of how they're feeling about the course, plus I just took on a role as Technical Assistant for the games academy during open days which means I help demo the games and show off showreels as well as talk about my course and tutors.
This means I'm giving up tomorrow as a day in which I would typically focus on programming (as I've got the deadline for audio soon) and now I have to condense that day of work into half a day of work. Along with that, I've got a couple of other written assignments and maths worksheets due in pretty soon plus just a fuck ton of personal issues I'm barely dealing with.
So yeah. I'm headed that way.

On the upside, I have been learning loads.

Was that what that was? Yeah, that's what I was referring to. What's with the "It's my birthday" lyrics? That's not in the original, is it? And what's the deal with birthday announcement lyrics in general? I can remember being annoyed by them ever since Fifty Cents did that one rap: "Go shorty. It's your birthday."

It should also be noted that I have been a grumpy old man since I was 12.
