Ohhhh. That makes sense. That music fits with Jeff Goldblum's character. That's the right movie, isn't it?

Yeah, it's Jeff saying the line lol, it's his ship that he takes out and has orgies in according to Valkyrie, and presumably on his birthday.

I posted it because it was my birthday but nobody said happy birthday to me, feelsbadman.

Sorry. Didn't make that connection. So uh, happy birthday. Hope you did something fun. Like steal Jeff Goldblum's party ship. Or have an orgy with Jeff Goldblum, if that's your thing.

'tis a shame you didn't get the reference (Despite the logo being in the video) and assumed it was music that kids listen to... a shame indeed.

Feels like whenever I find someone interesting enough to follow online - as soon as I hit subscribe, the wave function collapses, the interference pattern disappears, and they stop doing updates.

Edit: meaning they were all over the place before, but suddenly stop when I started watching them.
*The double slit experiment. That's the reference.
**explaining the joke

Watching coyote explain the joke is funnier than the actual joke.

I haven't seen the latest Jurassic World movie. Was he in that? I remember looking him up on IMDB recently, and he's in some kind of new Jurassic-Park-related movie. It would take me all of 10 seconds to go look him up again, but that's more effort than the information is worth.

Decided to spend a day amongst the Linus Tech Tips community in their forum and Discord. Holy shit these guys are so incredibly clueless about computers. They say the weirdest shit and have really strong fanboyisms and they absolutely will not listen to you at all no matter how much evidence, sources, citations, quotes you post and asking for their reasonings, evidence, sources, etc always results in "I'm too tired for this, TLDR; I am right you are wrong".

This is computer science stuff, there aren't opinions here it; it is a science, why the heck are people defending their incorrect knowledge like it's their personal desire to be absolutely wrong as much as possible?

EDIT: Apparently Linux is evil because of corporations not making it truly open-source (despite the source code being RIGHT THERE. You can look at it and download it RIGHT NOW) and we should all find programmers who can work together to make an open-source operating system that has no corporate interests (GNU/Hurd already exists! Do we need more operating systems???).

EDIT2: Apparently the SLI bridge doesn't do timing, it does "coordination". What is coordination if it isn't timing? Apparently it's sending GPU commands, ask for source on information I get a Wikipedia with zero mention of this and "it's in the spec sheets" - spec sheets for what? Who knows! Unable to give spec sheets.

Sounds frustrating. I have that conversation all the time on Facebook, but just switch out Linux with any other topic. Welcome to the internet, where every idiot thinks he's smarter than you.

Welcome to your life of quiet desperation.

Seriously though, there's nothing wrong with blooming where you're planted, lifting where you stand, starting with yourself, and all that.

Is generality even a word?
Potion I tell my other friends about you fairly often, I'm happy with you being just you. I don't think I'd have much to talk about with someone who isn't unique in some kind of way.

I'm used to desperation.

My new team for my next uni project seems very disinterested. Our team name is generic. The logo I suggested is generic. The game idea I will be proposing is generic.
I don't know. It's early days. Maybe I'm being too harsh on the team.

Yes. Although I'm shaky on if I'm using it right.

I actually appreciate that quite a lot! It's just scary facing your own mediocrity. We do need to hang out again in the summer :thumb:

My end-of-the-year goal is to finish playing Xenogears. And finish this last book in a trilogy that I've been carrying around for like 3 years now.
I'm sick of looking at my shelf and thinking "oh yeah. There's still t̨̗̦̤̲̰͚h̻̝̜̻͖̟̠́á͇̱̜̱t̲͉ thing."

Fuck'n Zeigarnik Effect, amirite?
That's been my whole year. One unsatisfying thing after another. But I'm getting closer to closure.
