Flower (Hiatus)

Ah no problem Wyatt. Hope you play more when the new version comes out though. (However, I ran into a fatal problem with my crafting script. Game is on hold until it gets resolved, since I need it for the final steps of patching.)

Edit: I decided to go with an alternative approach to crafting. Development is back on track.
 
I really hate to double bump my project but I need some feedback on some last ideas, and if you want them in the game:

*Savefile with all gardens finished (So you can go straight into building/dungeoning)
*Final Boss having a dungeon leading to it, rather than just having final encounter (I will do this, but it will delay the patch a bit)
*Making loot dropped from bosses available for sale after first kill (rather than having to farm him for a certain loot, being able to farm enemys to get said loot instead)

On a side note, how many people actually plan to play this game to finish once I release this next version?
 
I wish I could be more help, but without having played the first version, I have no idea what differences the above will have on the gameplay. I do however, plan on playing this!
 
Alright well let me ask you this: How many times could you run a 15 minute dungeon before you want to slit your wrists?

Edit: Because potentially, you can run each dungeon 1-3 times and get the best loot in the game, or you could run each dungeon 500 times and never get shit >_>
 
I'd play the entire series once the entire series is done.
Not kidding. Will admit it seems like a very interesting game so far.
 
I'd say a 15 minute dungeon would become too repetitive after about 5 runs. But again, that would depend on how fun the gameplay really is, etc...
 
Well it's all about the luck of the draw :P If you can get bitchin loot off of the first 2-3 runs, you may not even have to do it again.
 
Before the final boss, there will be a certain event, and will have a 1..5 chance in picking a name and sprite for this event. The next 5 posters (by people not by posts, excluding myself) will be in this list. You may post a sprite that you wish for me to use (must be xp-style and serious, please), or if one is not posted, one will be chosen by me. Thank you and have a good day.

I'm really not sure how this would work out but it definitely seems interesting enough. The "character" I just made up is the main protagonist in my name, the same sprite and name, so whatever.
 
If no one posts, I'm just gonna hafta make em up. Why not give your main character in your project a cameo in Flower? (Also do it soon because I need to lock this thread before I post my Trilogy's thread in completed games, albeit it will take a while)

might take a few days but then a few people might come in
 
I don't need too many people to pay attention to this thread right now, since I'm making a super thread in a few weeks, but I wanna keep my promise and have four more people just have a chance at making a cameo in flower >_>. But yeah I'll do that. Thanks.
 
I suppose it's not happening. I'll put you in daxis. It's a damn shame no one else cared enough to post. I can't say I'm not dissapointed with the lack of activity in Project Discussion but I'm not gonna cry about it or anything >_> Also I'm locking this thread, since the trilogy thread is coming sooner or later, and obviously no one cares enough to post in this as is.
 
Anyone who still gives a shit about this game, rejoice! I have begun working on it again after doing some tests with a side project I called "loot", and also in an attempt to remake Animal. I have scrapped both these projects and taken ideas from both in order to make Flower the best game it could possibly be! Standby for more updates.
 
I think custom graphics would make this game a lot better! But I think the game is really interesting overall, and I would like to see more updates! :D
 
Just out of curiosity, would you guys like to test out a tech demo (seeing as i've been putting off a patch since forever, the game has changed drastically), or wait until i have some assemblance of a final version ready?
