Thanks! Of course there will be zombies of diffrent sex,race, clothing, hairstyles, and body type.

Oh my god. This game looks absolutley incredible. I REALLY hope that this is finished. Take your time man, and be sure to release that shooting script ^.^
 
Just so you know the demo SHOULD be finished by wed or thurs. I added a tutorial mode and threw in an extra map to preview the new zombie ai. In the new AI zombies get more aggressive as you are close to them. and they are able to grab you. Here is my question for you guys. When the zombie grabs you, other zombies can still hit you which ends up in you getting raped if completely surrounded (which seems to happen in zombie movies) but you can still escape. Do you prefer the zombies around you when grabbed not able to hit you?

You should keep it the way it is.  Makes it more realistic.  If your grabbed and nothing is hitting you, its kinda of...anticlimactic?
I agree. Because if it was in real life, i doubt the zombies would stop attacking when they see you get grabbed by another zombie. Like OH my not my turn in line.. lol. Because one thing I wanted to avoid is making the game too easy. I prefer a challenge instead of being spoon fed everything. One thing I dislike about the console games on the market is alot of them are dumbed down for casual gamers.

i agree make this game as realistic as you can, besides it adds to the fun, cant wait to try out the demo, also i think you should read The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks

Thanks! I'll keep it the way it is then. To avoid getting "stuck" in a circle of zombies and having all your life drain even if it was full, that's what the push button is for, and melee weapons. It will knock the zombie back a few spaces, but it will still be pretty challenging.

Oh and I read and own the zombie survival guide. While its very entertaining, some of it I don't agree with. xD

Ha man it would seem your as big of a zombie nerd as me. Have you read world war z? Also you should join this zombie survival wiki "http://zombieencounter.wetpaint.com/" Its new but if you join up and do a okay bit of work you can become a mod pretty easy

Ditto. Plus, I haven't seen any game where you get teamworked by zombies when one of them grabs you.
 
Would it be possible for you to put a system in the game to where if you get attacked by zombies (and got infected),after X minutes, you would transform, and in if you killed Y amount of people in Z amount of seconds, then you could change back.  If you didn't kill Y amount of people, then you die.

That sounds pretty cool really. I'll think about adding it in. While not realistic, it could be a cool little feature. :] good thinking
 
make sure you put in as much work, graphically, to create unique looking zombie mods (hair/clothes/etc.) like you were saying... and this game will be looking all around great.  I love how ur using textures and such... also wonder where ur finding some of ur graphics - but i love custom stuff, whether it be 'found', ripped, or whatever...

do us all a favor though... new ideas and abilities and stuff are great... but 'settle' at some point so that you can put a cork on this and call it done, so we can play a Finished game :D  also, i only read the first few and last few pages so i apologize for my sloth, but is there a recent youtube vid one can see?

Oh don't worry I will bring plenty of zombie graphics. and they will make sense for your location. Like if your in a hospital, there will be zombie nurses, doctors, and patients. If your in a police station, zombie police. And alot of these features were originally planned I just like to slowly release information sometimes to "tease" or keep the game interesting. I don't have any recent youtube videos but I am going to release a new gameplay movie, and a trailer dealing with the storyline soon. As the demo will only be a test of the systems.

I sure will. I just need to write up a spoiler free version. I'm about to post a little bit about the main characters too. I'm just finishing up their sprite work.
 
Ok so lets go into a little more detail about the main characters. Please bare with me it's still kind of bare.
I will be posting the sprites as they finish so yeah.

Arnold Lilestone

(The sprite on the left is the new body type for him. The one on the right is the costume he will be wearing)

Arnold is the muscle of the main 3 characters. He is more of an act before thinking type of person. Although is decent at stealth, he rather do things his way. Shooting anything that moves from the start to finish. Not your average "dumb muscle" but lacks making complex plans. He is often corrected by Kelsey, who is the brains of the operation. Can be a sarcastic prick but it's all for laughs for his satire style sense of humor. Has a taste for cheap cigars.



Kelsey Merit

Barely any battle expirience and doesn't really know how to use a firearm. She much rather have the boys carry out the dirty work. But without her brains the team would have possibly been killed long ago. She is usually the one they can rely on for the best course of action and how to approach the situations they have been handed. An excellent sense of navigation and a pro at electronics. Don't be mistaken by her looks though, she is strong minded and knows how to stick up for herself.


James Ridict

A young teen saved by Johnny on the first day of the outbreak. James rather run that stay and fight.  Although cannot contribute much towards the fighting aspect, he has a decent ammount of knowledge cooking from classes he took before everything changed. Is often joked apon by the team for his deep interest in conspiracy theories. Although confused from all that's going on, his heart is in the right place. Will help the team with whatever he can.


Johnny Curfield

A young man in his mid 20's. Always tries to look towards the bright side of things and help people in their time of need. Even if it means getting into trouble in the process. A "believer" simply put. Basic knowledge in firearms and hand to hand combat. While not the leader of the group, puts in his share just as everyone does.
