No, it's completely original from scratch I made it and it cant be found anywhere. and thanks. Oh the engine MAY be released as a stand alone engine project after the release of the full game. But havent decided yet.

Oh right... That's no good for me then. I was hoping that I would have been able to snag that system, oh well! Still, looking forward to scratching my head and wondering how you managed to pull off something that impressive when you release the game. :)

G36 coding complete. Also the tone of the city has changed from a deep orange to a slightly more blue tint. Reason for is to see enemies better as well as give the city a "colder" feeling through color.

SURVIVAL-
Level Test

Test screen shots from the building of the first survival stage called Abandoned Airport. A stage that takes place in the daytime of a small private airport. Enemies will swarm from all sides. Textures are still in development.

Thank you, everything is tilesets with cosmetic fog lighting. I been testing different techniques for lighting lately
 
I agree that the new lighting direction definitely improves the tone of the game, gives it that classic low-light feel zombie movies tend to have. I know I've probably asked this before, but in regards to the weapons are you still planning to add attachment/customization support?

Even just having one gun you can customize (as was mostly the case in MGS4) or only having attachements that directly affect weapon stats (like LAMs giving headshot bonuses and Extended Magazines ect) instead of attachments that demand more attention in terms of coding (like underbarrel weapons) would be cool.

Oh, forgot to mention, what kinda changes to the GUI (if any) can we expect?

As always, congratulations on sticking with it so long and producing such high quality stuff!

Thank you means alot! and yes attachment/customization for weapons will be in the beta as well as the final game. Some more than others. But every weapon will atleast have 1 or 2 upgrades.

Yes you read my mind. Some attachments and upgrades will def change the stats of the guns. Custom sights for the gun will increase accuracy. LAMs will slightly increase accuracy as well as you will be able to see the laser when you aim your weapon, making it slightly easier to see the target you are shooting. I actually finished the underbarrel grenade launcher coding a long time ago, you can expect under barrel weapons as well, but not for every weapon, mostly just assault rifles. Extended mags wont change any stats other than youll have more ammo to the magazine.

Changes to the GUI you can expect a new health bar, slightly bigger and more animated. As well a a stress/stanima gauge underneath the health bar. I'll get into that system a little later. You can also expect to see an icon to open a "quest" list

I decided the beta will be open. Sorry for the wait. It will be available for all to download on Friday January 20th, 2012. The demo campaign mode is about 70% of the actual game. I hope you enjoy. I will post an information thread with the demo as well as a promo code for the unlockable subway survival level. Peace
 
Trying to release the beta before midnight. Doing the final necesary polishing. Some of the maps will not have lighting fogs. but I put beta lighting in some maps. I finished the forest today. only 3 more things have to be completed and ill start the upload process.

Heres a few screenshots of the forest. nothng you havent seen before. But might as well.

Awesome. I hope not to disapoint. It's only a beta. The beta does not have story line. It's a combat demo test with 3 large locations. An apartment complex, a big urban city, the country side and freeway. But it's only to test the Combat System. Some maps are uncomplete but i think it will be fun.

I'm proud to announce that the beta is complete. It is strictly a combat system beta. No storyline or anything. I'm currently looking for a place to upload, then I'll post an information thread on it or should i edit the first post? Any who stay tuned
