Fall of the Living: First Outbreak (Full Game Thread)

Hey guys, just so you know I'm still working on it, I made ALOT of textures within the last few days for the city maps.
I'll have a few screenshots to show off very soon.
Heres my quesion though.
Do you guys prefer regenerating health system, or lifebar?

The few Ideas I had was eithier a regenerating health similar to Call of Duty 4 (when you are about to die, the screen kind of blinks red with a few effects, and you just refrain from getting hurt from a short period of time and your health refills)

Metal Gear Solid 3 type life bar (depending on your stanima, your health refills slowly pixel by pixel if you are not getting hurt. Having a higher stanima meter makes it refill faster)

or would you just rather have the classic life bar, where medikits refill your health. No regeneration.

But any kind of life that I choose, I want the character to limp when hurt, and when SEVERLY damaged, your character will fall on the ground, or just barely walk untill he can regain himself again.

Please, discuss. :)
 
hmm that sounds interesting... my opinion is the Cod one because it is a pretty cool health system.  :thumb:

Edit: The Cod One would look great on your battle mode.
 
Yeah, the health pack system is pretty unrealistic. I'd go with the COD4 health system. It just makes the game more fun, you can hide, get your health back then keep fighting. Beats having to replay the same scene over an over because there are no health packs around and keep dying at a certain spot.
 
I'd go with the MGS one.
Sure the COD one would be great for gunfights, but you won't really be taking severe enough damage from zombies to make the game all that hard. With this one, you could also retreat to heal and go back to keep fighting, but the MGS style makes it slow enough so that you can't repeat the process rapidly. Maybe make the healing time a tad faster than in MGS3 though.
 
Whichever you choose, be sure to eliminate the 'play scene over and over because there isn't enough health packs'. There's nothing more tedious.

I usually forget to look at this thread, I see this project is still trucking along. Lighting looks good as always, some questions though:
-Why does the AK have 60 bullets? It's normal mag can only hold 30 while the box mag can hold 40, and the drum mag can hold 75.
-The HUD shows an AK-47 but the gun the player is an AKS-74U.

Just a little confused.
