Experimentation is crucial, I'll give you that, for many things.
But I can simply now. I like certain things, that I liked when I was 13, but hadn't tried yet. I wanted to. No actual situations or circumstances, I just thought of something and thought "That sounds like fun", it wasn't till much later had I actually seen or knew certain things existed, and sure after experimentation - and a little more than that, I can say I enjoy it - but I always knew I would.
