What Tutorials Do you Need?

i want a tutorial on how to script an ap system....or just an ap system without the turorial =D
i just wanna know how to make the monster drop the abiulity points and then...how to er....make the ap go up and of course i want to know how to make the ability levels.......

Truthfully, I still have the hardest time making battle animations. It doesn't seem like it should be that hard, but both creating and implementing them is incredibly difficult to me! If anyone could make a tutorial about that (preferably a very in-depth one), I would be eternally grateful. Well, maybe not eternally, but I'd still be extremely grateful.

wow u find it difficult? i just went in and made 2 like a week ago....[yeah im hardcore] and i thought they both put the default animations to shame
ya can make quite a heap of god animations just using the default stuff...just dont try and use each of the piccies in it....select about 3 or 4 i'd say...and make em so they move around a bit ...then have em go kabang! [by changing thier sizes]

it has become apparent to me that i am not as good a spriter as i could be... so my request is this... does anyone know of any how to sprite tutorials? i would prefer a tutorial that doesnt rely on Photoshop or GIMP (one i could use in MSPaint), that teaches how to sprite from scratch instead of using a template... it is the only way for me to develope far greater skills... tho if it must involve photoshop then at least i don't want to fall asleep while trying to use it/read it...

I've been looking for tut on a healing or reviving spell that also damages the enemy,
kinda like phoenix. I found it once, but forgot where and am desperately searching for it again. If anyone can offer any help, point me in the right direction or whatnot, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you.

I know there's a big tutorial somewhere and I swear to God I looked and can't find it :-(

You know, that's as informational as your last post ^_^ Tell us if you want a tutorial about HUD, or the simple coding, or whatever. I hope it's nothing of the first two I've listed, because there's already a HUD tutorial from Yeyinde (the Master Of HUDs in herre ), and coding doesn't quite need a tutorial...
PS (not because of your post, Saar, just in general): I think someone should add something about what the tutorial section is for in the first post, to prevent posts in here that are more script/sprite/whatever requests than tutorial ideas (see this post for reference...). I also just saw that the title includes 'need' rather than 'want'... bad Tana! :p

He is probably just asking how to make the hp/sp bars that are seen in battle. How to color them, the correct height/width to use, etc. I believe there was one on Creation Asylum a while back, but since they moved non of my bookmarks work, so I'll have to find it. If I do, I'll edit this post and hopefully it will help him.
Edit: SephirothSpawn made a tutorial on drawing Stat Bars, hopefully this is what Saar was looking for, or at least it will help.

I'll also throw in my request, as has been requested quite a bit in this thread already. A Battle Animation tutorial would be dandy, I can make the animations but getting them to work is a problem. I've been trying to learn from looking at the animations in the RTP, but I'm having trouble understanding the functions and how to use them properly. I just recently discovered that I can change the size of the animation, just to show how slow I am. An in-depth guide on each function and how to use them would work wonders.
A tutorial on how to map each of the default tilesets would also be helpful for a lot of people. I can figure out most of them, but that damn ship tileset just seems cruel..
