What games are you currently playing?

I realised that I never played the Episodes from Liberty City games that came out as add-ons to GTA4, so I've been playing The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Played Cross Edge pretty much all day sunday.
My first time playing a crossover game. I knew the story wouldn't be very deep, but for as much time as I put into the game so far I was expecting more. So far, I've just been wandering around this wonderland running into different game characters who don't know how they they got there. You search the map for souls to send back home, and a group of bad guys want to put put a stop to you.

It's made by Idea Factory and Compile Heart, the same people who made Record of Agarest War. They use the same enemies, item names, the point systems, the menu system. You auto heal from map battles, but not inside dungeons. The progression of unlocking recipes and trophies rewards felt exactly the same, I was doing the same thing in the beginning where I blindly spent TP on a craft manual#whatever, which unlocks elemental armor that uses material that isn't available until later in the game.

The only difference is that in Agarest War you move point-to-point on the map, but in Cross Edge you wander around an area scanning to reveal event and locations.

and the battle system in Cross Edge is a lot simpler, limited to 4 party members and not really required to move characters around on the grid as much.

And of course, the fan service is all cliche hotspring scenes and school uniforms as alternate costumes - they come with stat changes but only the female character will have their portraits change which is kinda disappointing. Atleast, from what I've seen so far. Idk, maybe there something to the DLC.
I'm downloading free add-on dungeons and item packs from the online store.

Nooo. I have to finish every thing I start. Even terrible glitchy games like Sonic06.
Wow, downloading all the free add-ons gave me weapons with 900 attack power and bunch of Stat Points I dumped into one character for defense. You'd think that would break the game, but it just makes it feel like a normal rpg. Most of the material for crafting comes from overkilling monsters, which takes a bit of time to set up. And a long time to farm. I'm not one-hit killing anything yet, but battles move a lot quicker when they only 2-3 turns and you don't waste time healing.

Also, apparently this is one of those games with ridiculously obscure requirements for the "true ending" that you could only know from reading a guide. Looking at it, I think I already missed a step.

Rune Factory Frontier! Yay!

Jelly. I can't find it used at any Gamestop around. I could get it off Amazon or something I guess, but I kind of want to just happen upon it. Plus, my cousin has had my Wii for forever now.

Android Apps. Grand Sphere and Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

I actually like the battle system in Grand Sphere. I just hate social rpgs, I know from my experience playing Wartune that it's a rat race. The npcs have a little personality at least.

Record Keeper is kinda boring. Matching characters and armors with their respective worlds for a stat boost is a neat concept through. I've only played through a couple levels though, so I don't know how deep it could be.

I'm eventually going to get around to trying all the popular apps I've missed out on like Plants vs Zombies, Angry Birds, Candy Crush, and whatever else.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time; just beat El Jefe.

while looking up game reviews I found this Sly Cooper movie trailer from earlier this year. Might be good, but I don't like their look. Sly looks more like a raccoon but his chin is round with a near invisible goatee; combined with the big baby eyes it makes him look more boyish than roguish.

A Sly Cooper movie?! O.O What the- xD Hype.

I'm currently playing MGSV in a foolish attempt to 100% the hell out of it.
But seriously, the whole "animals: gotta catch them all!" thing is just tedious and boring. T_T

The only bad thing about Sly 4 is the loading times.
I 100% the game. But the only way to see the secret ending is to get all the trophies which means playing the dumb mini-games. No thanks.

Trying to play Diablo 3. I have't played it since Halloween 2 years ago I think. Took forever to remember my log-in password. And I can't play until it updates.
10GB patch!? That can't be right. Online games are stupid. It doesn't even need to be online-only. Stupid. Stupid. stupid.

Awesome Bro

I really need to get around to playing Thieves in Time, bought it a few weeks after it came out but never got around to playing it, my backlog reaches all the way back to 2010 and before, and it's growing more and more, I really wish I had more time to play games!

As for the film, the only thing that bugs me is the fact that they've got a different voice actor for Sly, whereas everyone else are reprising their roles respectively... oh well, there's always the Ratchet & Clank film this year too, and the game, can't bloody wait!

Also, despite owning it on PS3 already, I've rebought Batman: Arkham City on PC for £0.89 lol, the reason being that I never actually finished it on PS3, and I really want to play Arkham Knight, which I own on PS4 but not played yet lol, but not until I finally finish City, and I tend to finish more games on my computer these days than on consoles, so flawed logic aside, it makes sense to me, lol

I tried playing Borderlands 2 again recently, using my character who had already beaten the game once. I couldn't find appropriately leveled enemies anywhere, and I just kind of gave up.

Recently I've been playing Mount & Blade Warband. It amazes me how much replayability you get from that game--I'm sure I've logged over 100 hours over the years--and you can pick it up for about $2 when it's on sale at Steam. I get on my exercise bike and play the game, and it tricks me into pedaling faster in an effort to get my horse to speed up. Maybe when Himeko Sutori is finished, I'll make a game that actually responds to an RPM counter on an exercise bike.

I've spent the last four hours playing the Paragon alpha with my girlfriend, and honestly guys, it's bloody brilliant! If anyone here likes MOBA's, specifically Smite, since it's over the shoulder/third person rather than overhead, then I'd definitely recommend this when it releases, it'll be free to play, and will have crossplatform play between PC and PS4, it's not releasing on XBO which is probably because Microsoft don't allow their XBOX playerbase to mingle with Playstation, lol... and it's funny too because it has full controller support, yet when you plug an XBO or 360 controller in, all the button prompts are Playstation buttons, which is the first time I've seen this in a PC game while using a controller o.O

tl;dr Paragon is great, play it when it comes out!
