Awesome Bro

So I've just bought two more games before the Steam sales end... that's it now, no more for a long time... well, from Steam that is.

I bought The Witcher 1 + 2...

Then I realised I'll have to uninstall some games to install even one of these, I only have 11GB on my computer, and apparently the first game is 16GB and the second is 19GB (Well, 18.9)

Guess I should buy an extra HDD, lol.

I got all the good endings for Heavy Rain, even though Jayden got his bad ending because of his overuse of the Virtual glasses.

The Witcher 1 is fantastic and The Witcher 2 can be accurately called one of the greatest games ever made.

..........Though I wish they didn't remove the enemy's ability to interrupt Geralt's attacks.

Yeah, all I hear is praise for both games, so to get them both for £6.73 seems like a great deal, lol. Not sure when I'll get around to playing them though, since I've got tons of games on the go at the moment D:

Oh my god finally! Completed Chapter 7 on Valkyria Chronicles.
Jesus man, I've done that mission 3 times now and that's the hardest I've ever found it!
I was trying to go without any casualties, but a few did get shot down. Luckily enough, I was able to save them. Huuurrr I can move on with this game now!

same happened to me. did you get the ending where all the little tanks drive up his desk? (if you watch all the endings, that's cooler than the "good" one)

i really liked that game and the mechanics of it. i just wish it had more people who looked like adults in it (why am i fighting a war with soldiers that look like frail little 12 year olds) (dammit japan!!)

Perhaps everyone from japan in world war 2 suffered from reverse aging...

those damned nazis.

wait

wait

wait.

this game was set in an other-worldly version of europe in an other-worldly version of WWII, where the enemy was suspiciously lookin' like the nazis

made by japanese people

who were on the same side as the nazis in WWII

So I decided yesterday that I'd play Binary Domain, (bought it on the Steam sales for cheap)

Turns out it's actually a really cool game... and on PC it looks quite pretty too, lol.

The beginning was a little boring, but it's pretty much just a prologue, after that it gets more fun... but it suffers from some pretty meh areas, such as the cast of characters not exact being amazing, except for a french robot called Cain, he's just brilliant and totally makes up for the others being pretty meh. The gameplay is pretty much like Gears of War, but not as sluggish, it's definitely solid though, and works really well. And you can equip these fragments that increase your stats, but it's sort of like playing tetris in the sense that they come in different shapes and you can only equip so many into a grid (... a 2x3 grid, lol), if that makes sense? You can also upgrade your primary weapon too, since you get money from killing enemies, and use it to spend on 'em, I suppose it's a nice touch, but meh.

What's more interesting about it though, is the story, I'm not gonna' explain anything really since I'm only about half way through (Apparently it's an 8-10 hour game), but basically, it involves lots of robots and some pretty cool (And numerous...) boss fights.

The AI is pretty good too, like, your team mates can complete objectives on their own if you just leave them, which to be honest is quite rare in games), and you can talk to them if you have a headset, although I chose to turn the voice commands off, since saying things like "Big Bo, Charge!" (Yeah, one of the characters is called Big Bo... he's black, and big, he's like Cole from Gears but MUCH bigger) feels... wrong. Anyway, the enemy AI is iffy since in some sections the plain lower tier robots can't aim for shit, whereas other times it's as if they're using snipers or something... but actually shooting the robots themselves is VERY satisfying, since you can shoot their weapon out of their hands, and they'll look around on the floor for a new one, or shoot their arms off and they just stand there like "Oh fuck", shoot one leg off and they'll hop around shooting you, shoot both off and they'll try crawling towards you and still be shooting... now, leave one with no arms and only one leg... the bastard will hop and dive into you! I even saw one pick another robots leg off (After it was shot off ofcourse) and run at me with it, holy fuck what. And if you shoot their heads off, they stay alive, BUT they turn on their group and open fire, it's pretty cool when you're up against lots of little ones and a big heavy with a gatling gun, shoot its head off and it'll spray 'em all down for you... and then die after like 10 seconds, but if you shoot at it, it'll open fire on you too, so you pretty much just leave 'em to do their thing, and let 'em die lol.

I'd definitely recommend the game after what I've played, and I'll be playing for another hour or two later on, and probably finish it tomorrow after work. Oh, but I'd recommend if you DO buy it, on PC atleast, to have a controller with you, I'm using a wired 360 controller, and the game plays SO much better than a KB/M set up...

... Wow, wasn't expecting to write that much, but it really is a cool game!

Just finished Binary Domain like 5 minutes ago, and it was really fucking good, I mean, it's cheesy, but so fucking good... I paid dirt cheap for it from the Steam sale, but I'd have gladly paid full price... it's just a shame the multiplayer is 100% dead, no matches going whatsoever on the PC... the main story, on normal difficulty, took me just under 9 hours if anyone wanted to know.

I'd definitely recommend it.

Oh yeah, there's multiple endings too, which is cool if you're into that stuff, although as far as I know...
it only changes who died and survives, you can get a "best" ending where everyone lives... on my playthrough I was betrayed by one guy, and another was killed... think I'll keep the story as that, although having everyone happy and alive and not betraying me would've been cool really...

Deus Ex Human Revolution.
This is a sick game. I raged at first cause I couldn't get past one part, but now I'm cool. I've been doing mostly side missions because yeh.
I had to upgrade my inventory cause that shit was just too small. Even now it's still too small, but I want to start upgrading all my other stuff since I've mostly worked on hacking.
The only downside to the game is that it kept me up until now and I have college in the morning.
