What games are you currently playing?

the 1st game was a masterpiece of its time. the 2nd game was .......... less so. but still pretty great.

the 3rd game was ........... fun. it was an entertaining experience. but then at the end, you will be left feeling a little like you wasted your time. and probably pretty angry at EA.

So apparently I was asleep when all the Far Cry games were being released? I bought FC3 on a whim and it's freakin' awesome! I looked into FC2 and ordered it via Amazon right away since I was diggin' the whole African Sahara vibe. These games are neat. Apparently, I've been living under a rock.

Three's endings are pretty laughable. For a game with surprisingly a lot of detail when it comes to the story, the endings were pretty phoned in.

Still, considering what we have been getting as of late these last couple of years, they aren't horrible.

I have never felt more opposite. The first one felt amazing, like a true sci-fi game should be. Lots of exploration on barren planets, and scarce colonies - but the combat lacked a certain oomph. The second one had a very well done sci-fi atmosphere, with the night clubs and pop culture; not to mention having one of the most intense opening to a game (I daresay, ever?). The third one had a feeling of closure, but I never felt the impending doom as much as I did in the second one. The ending felt rushed, but as I did more research into indoctrination theory, it all began to make more sense :x

Awesome Bro

I ordered the Mass Effect trilogy yesterday and it came today while I was at work, but now that I'm back I'm too tired to play, so I'll start on the first one tomorrow, see if I can get further than I did the first time I played it, since I HAD the first one for 360, played it for like 3-4 hours and never touched it again, lol, and I've got the second one on PS3 (So I've got two copies of it on PS3 now), got about 10 hours into it, really enjoyed it actually, but put it down to play other new games at the time, and, well, never went back to it... and the third one, never played it before, heard it's good but with a shit ending, so we'll see...

i knew it was gonna happen. YLOD fixes arent forever. lasted almost 4 months... luckly i have a secret fund of money for PS4 when its out... so il break that out to get my 500 GB super slim with 1 year of plus ps3.

Dusted off my old GBA and started a new game of Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. It's no wonder my eyesight is so bad, playing with a screen that isn't isn't back lit really strains my eyes. Also can't believe I never went into the configure screen and turned off all the message displays off, the battles go so much faster. Only 24 story missions? 9 more missions to go. Seemed so much longer when you waste time trying to steal equipment and learn all the abilities. My old save file had over 100 hours on it.

Been playing Final Fantasy 7 at home and whilst I'm out and about I'm playing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7.
I'm just waiting for Christmas, I'm hoping to get persona 3 or 4.

Grinding out the rest of Skyrim's achievements to sate my lust for completion. Also planning to grab Dragonborn and Hearthfire in a while and give those a go. Dragonborn looks really fucking cool IMHO.
