I dont think its shit. I dont really care how the story is presented as long as it is presented in a decent way. I like how HL approaches cutscenes personally its different and fits the style of game but thats just me. x;
Also the beginning hour is like really, really, really, really slow. Like until the energy core irrupts you are walking on elevators and stuff. I played for 45 minutes my first time playing it and thought the game was shit too but it instantly becomes better after that said part.
I mean the graphics make it hard to get into but again the story is presented in such a way that its hard not to get into imo. Just me though idk about the rest~
Ive also been playing with a controller and it maps really well. I dont know how people play PC games with a mouse. x;
Some aspects of the game (jumping across ladders) are really outdated but idk i find that kind of charming in the long run. But again thats prob just me~
I grew up with clunky 90s platformers x;

umm bro if you didnt know the RE1-3 sold better or abotu the same as 4 and 5 lol so your statement is false :p and RE4 is the best re game by far
RE 4 is the only survival shooter game i have ever played, beat, and enjoyed
I think its impossible not to like RE4. Everything about that game is pretty great. Other than ashley.
Ha ha that reminds me when playing RE4 I used to use ashley as bait and those priests would always pause to take her giving me an opportunity to blast them. One of my tactics would be to let them kidnap ashley and then i would chase after them and knife them. x;
I sometimes would accidentally knife ashley though so that would suck
I just remember being so happy when she would get kidnapped perm and I didnt have to watch over her.
Half Life sort of reminds me of a slower Time Splitters but thats just me i guess ~

Oh yes RE4 is an amazing game. But as I said at the time it released, its not a Resident Evil game; it throws everything out which was established, with a little connection to the previous games (that mostly coming in the form of Leon). And that just don't sit right with me. The genre change didn't help - perhaps I wouldn't mind so much if they kept to the beta format of going into supernatural scare fest than the Las Plagas action-packed game.

The game got stuck on a black screen where there was supposed to be a loading screen, so I restarted and now I can't login anymore

also i didnt have any troubles playing GW2 on launch night, but the guild i'm in (which is large enough to hit the population cap) got split in two during WvW and that was a really funny error
we were in Mumble and dudes were like "wait wait what, you're in my guild" when we attacked; took a while to actually get all the people to realize what was going on ;x

I've never played Silent Hill but apparently it's great, so I'm looking forward to it, Final Fantasy IX is just a masterpiece anyway so yeah... and Final Fantasy VII... well I've never finished it after attempting it about 4-5 times now, but maybe this time it'll be different...
