What games are you currently playing?

I like the humans' town the most. Not the starting town, that area is shit, I mean their main hub.

Only really steering towards Norn as they're physically much larger, and one combination looks REEEAAAALLL similar to me IRL (except I wish I could pick the side-part feathered long hair from the humans, because then she'd be quite literally spot on).

I'll be playing Guild Wars 2 AND Phantasy Star Online 2 lol, that's going to be a great game too... not sure if I want it on the Vita or PC though, the Vita version sure will be... interesting o.O

I am now 1000x more excited for pso2

Ive been playing ff13-2 for some reason. I just wanted something kind of easy and pretty to play for a while x;

Been off and on Mass Effect and Half Life. Mass Effect is cool but I am using a controller on the PC and for some reason it doesn't like to map 100% I always feel like Shep is walking more diagonally than straight x;
And I dont like how if I am at critical health I cant shoot. I also prefer automated healing too but thats because im a lazy gamer and dont see the strategy of conserving potions in a first person shooter.

Half Life, on the other hand, is fantastic. Im not super far (Im still in the facility I dont know if you get out of there). Everything is balanced nicely and I like the fact that i can bust a few caps up on those monsters and not pay for it later on.

I really want to get back into Final Fantasy XIII-2, especially with this: http://finalfantasy13game.com/astormgathers/ I'm guessing it'll be something about XIII-3 which would be cool since I thought XIII was such a great game despite what everyone else said, but with XIII-2 I haven't played it for a while, and when I tried picking it up again, I had no idea where I was or anything and didn't know how to carry the story on, so I'm going to just restart it someday, I was only like 10 hours in anyway and that included a little grinding and levelling up my monster things, lol.

Nice!! HL1 or 2?

If it's HL1, Black Mesa: Source (a remake/major overhaul of HL1 in Source engine) is rumored to be coming out either this year or early next year ([Some footage leaked] [Some screenshots]).
Also if it's HL1, don't miss HL: Blue Shift. It stars Barney (one of the cops). In some ways, I liked it more than the original!
(The other expansion that stars Adrian Shepard is okay, but he's just not as fun of a character as Barney or as well-known as Gordon.)

People have been waiting on it since 2008 or 9, and there's been a lot of speculation that it'll always be vaporware, but the team has recently, finally, started really leaking info and saying that it's close to complete (as of about 4mo ago). Anyway, something to look forward to, if you enjoy the game.

If you're playing HL2, it's theorized you won't have to wait TOO much longer for HL2:Ep3 ... There've been a few "slips" about potential announcements. Valve always stays EXTREMELY tight-lipped about major franchise releases until launch, even moreso than Blizzard, so hopefully, these recent slip-ups on tightlippery indicate that it will be coming out before the world ends.

Also some theories flying around about it being made in a "Source2" engine. Which would make sense, since the Source engine has been around for, what, 6+ years?


Anyway, tl;dr: Yes the HL series is arguably my most favorite game series of all time, so good pick ;o

I feel the same way, I've been playing through Half Life 2 with a friend of mine and I'm seriously trying to figure out what's so great about this series.
The story is confusing and isn't told very well (NPC's talking to eachother while you are locked in the room with them, I'd prefer actual cutscenes..) and the gameplay is not that great either imo.
It's still fun to play occasionally but it's not one of those games that I LOVE to play..

The last game I played was Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. I've played too many times, but I can't stop myself from making my characters on it to become strong and wreck havoc. D=

you don't have the heavy nostalgia tied to it
HL1 was pretty much one of the first FPSs ever to have NPCs that interact with you and scenes that play out around you in a meaningful way
and i remember when the Source demo was FIRST released--the scene with the polluted river and the bits and barrels that reacted to physics, and the light & sound effects--i flipped the shit out, back in 2003-4 it was SO AMAZING and revolutionary, and waited on bated breath for HL2 to come out, and then--EGADS--the game LIVED UP TO THE HYPE for the first time in EVER. i was already 18 or 19 when it came out but i felt like a kid again in regards to all that imagination-inspiring "i've-had-my-expectations-validated" sort of way.

so im biased based on nostalgia i guess, but i've replayed all (HL1+exps+HL2+eps1+2) only as of a few months ago and still had a ton of fun so
