I'm trying to get a script that allows the increment of parameters such as PDEF and MDEF to work on XP. It's the closest thing I've found to circumvent my biggest gripe with RPGXP: the lack of a defense stat.
 
My current pet project is a Hound of the Baskervilles game... Extremely rough at the moment, loads of placeholder sprites still, need to consolidate and decide upon various scripts, etc., but I do actually feel like I'm getting somewhere with it...

Like I say, the above screencaps are extremely rough, I'd say I've done about 2% of progress so far, but it's mostly just me trying to wean myself back onto RMXP after not using it for about four years.

I was quite surprised too, I had a look around before I started to see if I was retreading ground.

Hopefully have a realllllly basic demo up soon, simply because I want feedback on whether the opening cutscene is too long or not (I have a feeling it will be) but I need to finish the ruddy thing first...

I've told you a million times I'll help with spriting the characters lol, I already helped with one of them... sort of, didn't do all the frames or anything, but you know what I mean!
 
I finally fixed a bug that has halted progress for more than a week now!

WOO HOO YAY

Turns out I forgot to close a block in a file reader. 1 line fixed it. Kind of annoyed with myself, I re-wrote and checked everything but in the end it was the "easy addition that will make things easier and won't need testing because it's so simple to implement" that had the bug.
 
I'm messing around with the Pebble SDK right now, it's all in C so it's familiar ground.

Wrote a scene manager inspired by the RPG Maker scene manager as well as a memory management system (Detects leaks too).

Uses my C-With-Classes style, first truly reasonable use of my programming style.
 
I think following xilefs suggestion I'm going to go with small maps in my game. Still haven't had chance to work on it, but I have drafted up some basic areas on paper while away from my pc... having trouble with map edges as it's a different style of mapping to what I'm used to really. Finding them quite artificial.

I says to myself "We need more blood animations". I know there are blood splatter graphics but it always looks dumb when a character collapses and the blood pops out of nowhere.
Not even sure the spray is necessary. Just having the splatters and puddles grow is effective I think.
