And what about your logo? I got your PM and replied "i can do it for you" but you didn't reply.

Yeah, sorry, didn't check my messages lol... I'll PM you back with some ideas I'd like, and see what you can come up with

Right, going to bed now, but I'll say what I've been doing for the last few hours...

Added the travelling merchant, given him a name and items to sell, in certain areas he'll also be selling rare items, I'm trying to make them a one time buy.

Improved my new inn system, basically, you buy the key to the room, so obviously talk to the innkeeper, buy the key, go upstairs, use it on the room of your choice. You might be wondering why this is, but it's pretty cool I think... it means I can have different inns charge you different prices, so in a big city, they can charge more than a small village... so if you stock up on keys from the small village... you can use inns everywhere for cheaper! Now THAT'S thinking ahead!

There's been various other things I've been working on but not finished yet... in the middle of making a new currency system which should be pretty cool.

Oh yeah, I've also made another map, just a narrow vertical map with a road and trees, with some chests, water, and enemies to fight, it's going to link the small village to other places although I might just make the small village lead to the world map, lol. Actually... that's a good idea, think I might do that instead. But then how could I implement the travelling merchant? I'll look into it when I'm not tired.

AND my first cutscene has almost come to an end! I've streamlined it too, it's not as long or informative as I'd like, but I don't want to bore the player, I want to give them more than 5 minutes of gameplay lol... so far, if I follow my notes (Yeah, I made notes!) there should be some gameplay coming in the way of sidequests and such. I'm thinking of having a notice board in each village/town/city that has a list of quests to do... I mean, I'll most likely need a script, but if I can do it with events that'd be great. Obviously there's going to be others to do such as finding a little boys cat or something daft, lol, but on the notice boards I'll put quests for killing things and stuff.

Gonna' look into that tomorrow before I go to work.

So yeah... not bad for me, eh?

Maps Maps Maps.
Working on a new game. Not got a title yet, but it's essentially a fetch quest. Might call it "Fetch Quest ULTRA" or something like that.
As for plot?
You wake up on a small island. You cannot remember anything. THAT IS ALL THE PRETEXT YOU GET!

So many amnesia games!

Then again, it IS the easiest to start with, but it's the way it's presented that counts...
There is a huge difference between player knowledge and character knowledge. A gamer should never be sat there looking at the character and saying "BUT WE KNEW THAT!"
The way I'd work around it is make the player know as much as the character.
but another way to combat it would be to introduce things the player knows in a way that makes them think "ah, I like how they did that!"
Another thing is (and this is what I think, it isn't set in stone.) The player should always know what the character knows, But the character should never know more than the player.
So, with my game. As I said, all you know is that you are on an island. Same as your character.
The game is about learning the characters story WITH the character.

Hmm... well it's hard to give too much information about a game away if it has specific sections that the player shouldn't know, or if there's a plot twist or something of that sort... I'm not gonna' be talking much about my story anyway, just giving updates on cutscenes, quests, and new features in general, that I'm adding as I go along, maybe with a few screenshots here and there, but I'm not giving away details of the story, just use your imagination, the game is called Project Memory...

I stupidly wrote over my script data while installing a new update. I only lost a small change that I made a week ago, but it's a pain and I don't remember exactly what I did before.

Git backups

I'm redrawing TheInquisitor's tilesets and drawing a new character sprite set to go along with them. 64px tall sprites, better color palette, more structural possibilities, and better tile layouts. I'm also planning to continue the pixeling with more tile sets, including ships (in progress and coming along well), middle eastern towns to match the world map tile set, and more nature settings. Once I've got some more pixels down, I plan on finalizing design and implementation of a Tilemap script for Unity 3D with better mapping tools than are available in any RPG Maker. TheInquisitor has gotten a lot better than when he started, and I'm including all of his newer work related to these projects (he has a lot not related from which I'm drawing inspiration). I've gotten a lot better too, and I think it really shows in the work I've been doing. Expect screens soon - as soon as I've got the tile layout fixed and so I don't feel like mapping would be a waste of time.

Got voice mp3s from Voice actor. Split, raise the volume, and saving them in OGG.
Tested new voices in the project and most of it suits quite fine.

Sigh, working on my least favorite part of game making: dungeons. I hope to get a demo out for the prologue and write up the story arches for a game I'm remaking. It was my first game, has lots of potential, only I sucked at the engine: rpg maker 2000. I hate straight foreward dungeons, with little or no challenge.

Just a test. Centaurs come with a lot of problems to work out.
