Making my own rendition of Asteroids for coursework.

Currently working on a mini mission for an RMXP demo I'm working on, and now thinking about making a thread for it.

I'm abstracting it a bit. I figure hitting big things turning them into small things... could lead to an interesting "Sorceror's Apprentice" game.

Splicing different sprites together to create a viking sprite.

My game making is currently impeded because I dropped my only fork down the toilet so I am trying to eat pasta with a knife.

I now have squares that float around the screen, appearing on the other side when they reach the edge, and a square which rotates when you press left and right.

I'm writing some utility functions in Game Maker and experimenting with state machines. Shit, I really wish GM had the code for its default functions somewhere available for you to mess with.

I now have a spaceship square which increases/decreases it's speed with up and down arrow, and rotates with left and right arrows. Asteroids, yay!

I made an Asteroids game in College, if I had the pendrive with it on (I've either lost it, or formatted it) I could've just sent you it lol :thumb:

Nah they use turnitin or whatever it's called, the thing that checks against every other college/university/website.

Working on a backdrop, thinking like a wizards workshop, only it needs to be infinite in every direction...
