Vagrant Euphoria: Revised

Thanks Atnas, I really appreciate the bump ^_^. Again guys, I'm sorry that there hasn't been much news recently, and I'm also sorry that you guys haven't gotten the character designs I promised two days ago. I have been kind of exhausted, taking a little rest. But, to make up for my laziness, I had decided to give you guys a treat. I also have done the design for Brandre. So, today, you guys are getting three designs!!! OMG! Lol, you can find them all on the first post and in links here. Later guys, Roxas.

EDIT:: By the way, I had forgotten to post this before. I am going to start a V.E. Bulletin Service. For those who want to be up to date on news and updates in Vagrant Euphoria, simply PM or post here, and I will add you to my list for the Bulletin. I will email/PM you and keep you up with whats going on in the world of Vance.

2nd EDIT:: Sorry for the second one guys, but there isn't any double posting and I don't want to break da rule. Just something small, but I wanted to let you guys know. This regards the CMS. I will be using this as the background. Another amazing piece by Sonny Tanaka, I love this peace as well, and I can see it as a background.

:D I like Trent a lot.

One thing I think would help is to spend a small amount of time on a stick figure before you go ahead and flesh the characters out. Doing so would avoid the disproportioned stature of one or two of your sketches.

Also you might want to look at a reference picture for anatomy, as Lenne's breasts are a bit too high, and she has slightly manly arms. I learned the easy way, and traced Victoria Secret models until I got the curves and shapes built into my hand's physical memory.
(Also most of those models are HAWT.)

Lmao. Thank you Atnas. I do notice sometimes that my sketches can be a bit disproportional. I will keep the advice in mind and I will probably end up redrawing each desing in full blown detail for the final official artwork. I will keep the Lenne advice in mind for Beiru.

Dont really get the quote Petros. If you think that Vagrant Euphoria is dying out you're very mistaken bro. I've just been pretty tired recently, not getting much sleep. But I am still working hard on V.E.

EDIT:: OOOOOOOOh, I feel like a dumbass. You ment the quote on the menu background. Lmao. Okay. Well, I'm happy that you like it.

In regards to work, I am currently working on, yet another, sketch to be used as a ref image for Blender. I think, that if I can make one really really good sketches, that are exactly proportional, I can make a great mesh. Also, I am going to be doing my very first environmental design over the weekend. It will be of the Desert of the Forgotten. For those who play SE games a lot, you will recognize the similarities in design, I got a lot of my influence and inspiration from Kingdom Hearts and FFX/XII. I have some of it done already, and I think you guys are really going to like it ^_^

Lol, yeah, I just figured that out Petros

I just wanted to let you guys know, that I have a few little gifts in store for all the V.E. fans. A few new systems and designs that I think everyone will enjoy. Next week, starting Monday to Wednesday, I will reveal three new systems for Vagrant Euphoria that I haven't talked about. So, starting monday keep your eyes open and look around the page. Some suprises may be in posts, some might be in edits on the page :D

Addition: Guys, I have some, not bad, but saddening news. As always, I am constantly biting of more then I can chew when it comes to the what? The graphics! So, I here to say, once and for all, hopefully, what the actual situation is. Regardless of the decision, the game will still involve the Revolution, and everything else will stay the same. But, it is safe to say, that the graphics, will in no way resemble FF12, or 10, 9, and 8. The graphics for the game will be closest to the FMV graphics from Final Fantasy 7. It's not great, nor is it what I was hoping for, but they are 3D graphics, I think, that I can actually do it, and they aren't completely hideous. For my good fans, like Atnas and Petros, I know that it's kind of a disappointment, and that you all think that I could pull it off, but the plain truth is that I can only push my skill as far as my limits bound me, and I can't do graphics like those. So, that's what it is, stay on the look out for more. Goodnight guys, Roxas.

Hey guys, just some small news. I am buying some books on 3D modeling to help myself out, maybe they can do better then all of the crappy tutorials I have read. And, might be switching from Blender to Maya. Also, the Env. Design is about 60% done, just to let you guys know. Later, Roxas.

EDIT: Yea, just letting you know. Switching to Maya for sure. Later guys, Roxas.

No. When I say redraw, I just mean that I am going to do them the same way, but with much more detail as the official artwork. Now worries bro, the designs stay the same.

Lol. With how much I keep shifting on the graphics you have every right to be. But I ensure you, their designs won't be changing. I am completely satisfied with each one of their designs. What I am never satisfied with is the freaking models. But, hopefully, the books I am going to buy will teach my how to do what I need to do to make nice graphics. But, I am pretty sure I won't be talking about graphics anymore until at least one of them is done the right way. I think my design of the D.o.t.F will restore your faith in me Petros.

Hey guys. I'm back with a little bit of news. Just switched from Blender to Maya 8.5, so I have a lot more tools at my disposal. And, I just bought a 750pg book on Master Maya, so, I have a little bit of light reading to do, lol. Actual development is going to take a small backseat for a while, while I try to digest this monster of a book. This book is very descriptive, and I am getting everything so far. With luck, I will learn how to properly model my characters. And, I will also learn how to texture, rig, animate, and render them. This thing also has a section on cloth and fluid animation. For those trying for 3D (Petros) I recomend that you pick it up. Well, thats it for now. Peace out guys, Roxas.

Yeah but I'm assuming Maya will cost me money I don't have right? Of course, I can't wait to get some 3D into my game for some cut scenes.

Just because you don't have Maya doesn't mean the book won't be a huge help. Trust me, the way you do them in Maya can also be done in Blender, just using the same basic method. If you have 50 bucks spare, I suggest you go out and get it. "Mastering Maya 7". I really think you will find it helpful bro.

Wow. Another change? Anyway, I hope it to be a good turn for your graphics.

:) And I'm sure Maya and the book will beat a free program and online tuts any day, when it comes to quality.

So good luck with the change man.

I think I will get better results from Maya. And you are right, a book the size of my head will always be better then a few tutorials that I can find on the internet.

love your sketches, will you be editing your first topic when you've goy further into modelling, can't wait to see a fully rendered main character.Hope you finish that mammoth of a book.O_o
