The Sadism is strong in this one.
So a few days ago when searching for an old Sai file I came across a file called Lilac21.sai
It was a pretty well drawn anamtomically sound Lilac. I have no idea when I drew it. It's not the first time I've open up a sai file I don't recognize, but it's unmistakably my style.
So there's that, I get the feeling i was asked by an admirer of Lilac for her being slightly older, so that might be what the "Lilac21" file name was all about.
Also a lot of people seemed to like this and i haven't shown it here yet. So here's this.
Yeah I don't know why people dig it either.
This is uh... this is from a DARK time of my life. Where I felt useless, like my purpose had been robbed from me, please be aware the images, while SFW, may be disturbing.
I'm not going to show you the sticky notes with existential ramblings scattered through them. This is worrisome enough.
Suffice it to say, gaining my independence made this kind of thing go away. It's one of the Demons that only features now as a creepy sideshow in my games, not as any real ordained form of madness.

So after my friend offered to draw me smut I figured I might do it again after so long, pretty happy with the currently super rough draft, sure a lot of the anatomy is flawed but it feels very genuine and dynamic, Yasondre is having happy times with Kyoshi.

A rather unusual style for me. Semi-realistic is something I don't often attempt, and truthfully it becoming like that was kind of an accident-turned-experiment.
I also drew this Tristy with the 'lines are shading" sorta gimmick.

Anathema's Lore:
Anathema is a soulcatcher who was Esperia's best friend and partner in crime during their time ascending to Dark Seraphim, referred to by most of Heldath as the infamous Scourge Sisters, they were seen as a fearsome duo who were destined for greatness
Once they ascended to Dark Seraphim, they were pulled apart for varying missions, since one Dark Seraph alone was incredibly useful at depopulating entire countries and gathering soul power. During her exploits, Anathema was approached by Yasondre- who had been getting stressed out due to Origin's stranglehold on her sister and the cosmos at large, seeking pleasure to override the pain. After some initial holding back and afraid that Yasondre may be deceiving her, Anathema saw the Demigoddess' plea was genuine and agreed that whenever Yasondre was in need of relaxation and pleasure, Anathema would be happy and ready to grant it, this deal also benefited Anathema in that she had a strong political ally, and an essentially infinite source of soul power- seeing as Demigods are immortal, and cannot ever truly be exhausted of their energies.
Anathema has not caught up to Esperia's serazai form, but is happy to be what she is- every now and then Esperia and her will go at it too for old times sake. The two get on like close friends, and both give each other heck over the other's fetishes, Esperia seems to largely desire red hair, which Anathema possesses, meanwhile Anathema really likes elven ears and green kelpy hair. They both also seem to have a desire for same sex relationships, and men are but a means to soul power for them. Anathema often jokes that Esperia is "into Pep", which Esperia largely abjures, stating that "I'm not going to fuck a cat, I have SOME dignity!"
Esperia's loyalty become solidified to Fyori, the daughter of the demigoddess Blu, and later the Goddess Sacreblu. Together they ascend and Esperia finally reaches her goal of achieving Serazai status.
Meanwhile, Anathema is fixed on Yasondre, she may lack elf ears, but anathema desires her purity and of course, her green leafy hair, most soulcatchers seem to grow fixations relating to their previous targets, with Esperia being after Pep's soul causing her to admire red hair, meanwhile Anathema was sent to depopulate the Kelp Elves of Moiyserr, and it's hinted at heavily that she got her fixation for green hair and leafy garments from them.
While she's never been super relevant in any games, she does make appearances, as an optional boss and later a semi-villainous guide in Menagerie, a supporting character in Hellcat, and a supporting character in Intelligence 314th Clash. So far the only real evidence publicly known of that Yasondre and Anathema are in a relationship is a secret scene in Hellcat: Born Again.

What's the ratio you have on those tiles? Seems a little too square, makes it seem a little flat to me - although I personally prefer harsher isometric angles. I used a 2:1 ratio for my isometric MV test maps, that communicated depth the best I found.
As for this piece, I think the top of the 3 pillars at far side look a bit odd as they are sort of sliced the same way as the wall behind, rather than sliced through a horizontal plane that most isometric views do. I think this would look a bit more pleasing:
Although you probably noticed this already, but it being a rough sketch you decided to not waste time on such a small thing.

I def agree, pushing the pillar out of the wall looks way better.
I think I used a 3:1 ratio. If I added some deeper shadows it would add depth? Either way next one I do I’ll try in 2:1; thanks for the tips.
Yeah I’m using a pretty simple vector program and it does not have basic cut and paste features so yeah fixing some of my mistakes can take a lot of time.

3:1 is actually harsher than what I have. I wonder if it's something else that feels off to me.

Perhaps it's that harsher angles gives you less room for detail compared to softer angles as there's less screen height on a tile to cram information into.
Well, my personal tastes is that 2:1 is the best ratio for 2D isometric views. It's what Final Fantasy Tactics Advance goes with and that games has some excellent isometric artwork - especially the opening cut-scene (always thought it was a shame the player never got to have any game-play around the scenes shown in the opening).

A character I've only prior mentioned, Mad's unnamed Mother who is Queen of the Shadow Pixies, and rules over the Darkvoid, i.e. the shattered surface world of Spriteopia.
I've also done Speed Draws for the two of them.

Basically I gave myself a challenge to draw an outfit a day in october, difference being I ended up cancelling four of them for implausibility, and also did all 26 of them on one day. Click the image above for all the alternate outfits. The character wearing them is Akra Olna, the Regent Lady of Zen Aneia and unannounced leader of the Kitsunes. I did an art of her in here earlier.
Now I've gone and done a bunch of really decent art.

I think I have difficult coming up with costume designs because I always start with a bare figure. Then trying to tack on clothes, nothing seems to work for me because it's off balancing the initial composition. I should outline with something in mind. But my process is usually just - keep drawing on top of it and see what I can make of it.
