So bascially, I thought I might post something up here. Im not a great artist or anything, I just sort of doodle a lot when I get bored.

I dont have a scanner and I doodle on lined paper. Sorry ;o;

Does anyone know of a good method for scanning pencil work?

I usually try to fix the brightness/contrast in Photoshop but there has to be a better way!

Anyway, here are some sketches

I recommend not touching the contrast, and do Auto-levels and -tone(in Elements, Auto Fix works better)

Ignore the blueness, I was gonna color him digitally but I got fed up with the mouse. I can't wait to get a tablet.

I'm going for a western/sci-fi feel, but I don't want the outfits to be too dull, or outrageous. I'll draw someone, decide it's too plain, start adding accesories, and before long you have some Tetsuya Nomura-looking bullshit. It's hard to find a good balance. :I
