I was bored this evening so I just doodled up a couple of shitty things with a laptop touchpad.

They're kind of fun to do! I might as well take the opportunity to ask if there's anything I should be doing (besides putting more time in).

i usually block basic shapes and then add basic details and then actually do the lineart i just keep it in the background for reference x:

started learning anatomy in school, getting drawing classes for eyes now.
pretty cool how everything is that simple, once you know how you actually have to do it.
i mean even a human is really easy to draw.

it's a bitch to get it perfect, but the basic anatomy seems to be not that hard

So here is a couple I really enjoy from an old story we're bringing back: Merri and Noko. Noko was supposed to be in the background, but, I think, I made him too tall/big. ;_; I'll have to fix it if I decide to color it.

This is the same picture, but a close-up of Merri. Since she was the one I took forever on. XD

i was going to turn this into a full-fledged painting until i got 30 minutes into it and realized i have no idea what the hell i'm doing

judging by the looks of it,
you have a very firm chin
you have a yellow skin
your nose is very straight and red
your eyes are red too, but only the irises,
or you use red contacts and eyeliner,
your ears are very flat sticking to the sides of your face,
and your hair is blue,
as are your eyebrows.

while it's got style, it didn't work because you started with the outlines.

try to go and sit in front of a mirror, with a constant lightsource,
and draw what you see; no lines, but shapes in dark and light.
try to sculpt your face by just drawing the shadows and the highlights.

Strawberry and Ellenor! Gods, I REALLY love and adore your art (Do you both have a Deviant Art I can watch?)! :heart: The rest of everyone else looks pretty good too. I'll post one of my random sketches. A very quick cute sketch of myself.

And to prove a point to someone that I can draw at least a somewhat more proportional and CHOOSE of my own will to draw cutesy, here is a sketch of a more realistic me I did in a few seconds. I didn't use a reference though, sorry, so it may still look off, but you can tell proportions are still lot "better" than in my cuter drawings (I'm new to art any way so I am allowed to make many mistakes). And yes I always sketch this messy, even on my "mistake" drawings Sorry about that.

Ummm... I have a Deviantart, actually. I don't use it much, because I hate almost all of my drawings. I use it to watch people and comment on other pieces of art, though.

xCherriBlossomx is the name. I wish I could change it to like Strawberry or something. Gah. Silly DA.
