It's an event mini-map, because most mini-map scripts froze up when I tried to access the world map (it's a big map, about 500 wide and 430 high). I made it by taking screen prints of each part of the world map at 1/4 zoom in the editor, pasting them all together and then resizing them. Once you get a boat, that thing is a godsend since you can work out where you are and how to get to where you are going really easily.

Now, hud features...

* Fully animated
* Process Everything, like menu, Item menu , status menu, Gadgets, etc
* Will have a Window that you can control each party member individualy
Since this is uses a Modified SBABS.
* If the party member is below it it turns invisible..


Note the map is not finish , I was just testing things..xD

Yeah, she's a Tallairian. I'll go into it more in my project thread when I post it, but the Tallairians are a race like Elves that I created for my project - i.e. like humans but with certain traits differing from them. I wanted to use other races, without falling back on anything already established.

Sol_Fury, that's a hell of a world map then, looking at how you made the sides flow so well and all... really rather something. Must have taken you ages putting the world together, given how smooth the minimap edges are, pretty huge...

^^They are used for Animating the menus and the rest, Also I might change the resolution so that it takes less map, What do you think about it?

Nah it's supposed to change the size of the character as he moves further down the street, although in that map there isn't really very far to go but on any other road he would shrink as he goes further away from you.

A lot of my maps need redoing actually because as I've been making them in photoshop my skill has increased with practice so ones like that look really bad and uneven with other maps. (probably will be a never ending cycle of improving maps however lol)

It's not the perspective of the character that's off, per-se, it's the perspective of the street. At that angle the character wouldn't get bigger walking towards the camera because the camera is too high above them. The street should start closer to the horizon line (the middle-ish area of the pic) and then foreshorten into the foreground and past the camera.

I suggest getting a digital camera and shooting the shots you want to use in real life and use that as reference.

Yeah I plan to do that actually, but to be honest in that map he doesn't actually get any bigger or smaller due to the angle so it's fine :)

I was just testing out the script on it :)

Very nice sprite work. It's like Jhonen Vasquez + Earthbound... which would make me piss my pants if it ever happened.

Although personally, I think the walls are out of place. Everything has a simple 2 color method (base color + darker shading) and then we have these SUPER DETAILED GRITTY walls.

Actually... I think the juxtaposition between the walls and objects makes the screen look more appealing. Meh, it's your game.

Yea, probably the only screen I've seen in 500 posts that makes me want to play the game NOW.

p.s. i think you should download homeland it's kind of like earthbound but better (click on the image in my sig lol)
