@Yeyinde: that menu system looks great !! It needs another script that resizes the window or you can use the default 640x480 screen?

Are you doing it for an exclusive game or you will release it for free use?

If it's for free I think I will use it !!

So.. your main character dies in the opening? (I know he does not XP)

It looks quite cool, but I would like an ingame screen, because the 'layered' wood thingies looks kinda weird now.

Fallstel, may I offer a suggestion, The edged bricks should be replaced with something not so 'finished', if a piece of house was knocked off, there wouldn't be the edging left, I'll put a screen to show what I mean...

The freshly knocked off area wouldn't have finished edges, it would have edges though.
Just a suggestion, it looks good the way it is if you leave it.

Guess I'll throw my hat in.

Latest screen, for an "abandoned" mine full of elementaly charged ore. Now overtaken with humid mists.

It's been a while scine i've shown off anything, so here's my latest little experiment.

I'm attempting to portray a feeling of being in a storybook, which so far has worked, although to make this simple effect it an extremely large pain in the ass, which is why i've only got a couple sets done(they're reconfigured too, as my settings are very different to what a standard tileset can provide, but a fused one would be excessive and just produce too much lag).

The good thing about this style is I can get away with mapping things quick and dirty, as there isn't too much detail to worry about matching 100% perfectly (look at the roof on the first screen, you can't do that with the RTP).

Peace

A work in progress shot of the Canadian Knights "White" theme. All that's really missing is the levels for the character mugs, but for those who may care to know the characters are level 5, and with their low stats they are causing horrifying problems with damage scaling until I can rewrite the battle algorithms.

The CMS is courtesy of Yeyinde, and it's SUPPOSED to resemble the default menu system.
Any suggestions for how I could improve the theme would be great too.

Edit:
Here's a shot of my custom message window. It's basically just a png I add as a picture to every message, with the default window skin hidden.

Questions? comments?

@ATM: I guess it'd improve the whole appearance if you'd give the white inside the windowskins depth of some sort... shadows, inverted lighting, whatever - as long as it's symetrical. Also, you should darken the white background to maybe 60-60-60, just to point out that this is 'unused' space... it seems kinda wrong to me... ^_^

I'm considering adding a vague texture or something to the white space, because I agree it's pretty damn bland. Not sure there's room for shadows.

What I'm more likely to do is throw in a huge golden maple leaf like I did in the message window I just added a shot of. (In my last post)
