The Screenshot Thread

@Gubid: Have you tried using Tiled for your isometric maps? It has an isometric tileset mode. The only downside is no autotiles, but I think it would sure as hell beat putting the tiles together manually.

Why did it only just now occur to me that the item use window should have a status display of some sort ._.
I need to hurry up so I can start working on things that it is possible to take screenshots of D:

A little dark on my screen but I always find dark games look better while actually playing them, screenshots don't tend to do them justice. It looks nice though!

Possible layout for an App for my game.

Tiled is a cross-platform map editor application. It's got unlimited map layers and an isometric/hex tile mode, and has some interesting features for displaying large objects as single tiles (extra height displays above like with priority in RMXP but does not take up additional tiles...kind of hard to explain I guess). It's up to the developer to implement in-game map display based on the data format, afaik. The biggest problem with it is lack of autotiles, which has prevented me from looking into it more as a replacement for RMXP's map editor. But, if you're just drawing the maps and breaking them up into square tiles or using them as a panorama anyway, I think it would work just fine to take screenshots from inside the application.

Wait! Is that the one that Trickster made? I seem to recall him having something called Tiled or something along those lines quite some time ago. At the time I first played with it, it only supported regular tilesets. I will definitely look into it though.

can i know what kind of style your character is? (because it's not rtp but it does match the rtp styled tileset)
That's white ties! Haven't seen that style in a project since the argon's past demo.

Ah yeah, I remember now! Hmm, would be cool if i could use that style too. Would be a huge undertaking to create about 200 charactersets though for my project.

Program a generator, make a few pieces, throw it all in then ask it to poop out 200 charactersets.

What type of location is that, Pokémaniac? Is that like a warehouse or something? Everything in there seems very "placed" to me. I would do only one of those holes in the ground. They're so noticeable and have a strange shape to them it's hard not to see a pattern. If you're using vx there's like some other cracks and holes you can use too if you want to replace them. Not sure why there's a hat on the ground. If it's a warehouse or some kine of storage I'd do way more crates and containers with a few things laying around. Other than that, I like the text highlight stuff but I wouldn't go too crazy with it or it can become hard to read.
