I like it Sail! My only qualm is that it feels a little bit too contrasted, but that just might be my eyes. I'm not a fan of really dark contrasts. The logo and menu selections are great though, and it's great to see just really simple things working together well instead of somebody trying to put together this great big piece of eye candy that just mashes together and looks like crap.
I'll play around with the contrast. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hmm, wouldn't it look better using the same font/logo as the games?
That's the new logo. Once the Complete Edition is out, it's going to replace the one was used before.

Hey im back again, ive already done all the edits you guys said, but i decided that i will bring that up later time.

ive also been working on my new spriter skills, which by the way is suckish, i am working from ground, reading tutorials, getting to know spriting, so i am only doing edits for now, learning to combine stuff and making my own, by seeing how people has made theirs, i only work with 1 template, and 1 template only, cause i wanna be good at that one template.

this is hardly an original sprite
ive done some changes, but not to many

My Sprite:

( edit, the pants was more or less a pixel-copy from another sprite, what i did was to add more color to it, also the hair is edited, from the original sprites hair, its edited to look abit like Sasuke Uchiha's hair )

Original Sprite (by kiwinuptuo) with a sword by my spriter, i just wanted to mix them and see how cool they became, also he is darker than the original one, cause i wanted to make him more clearer

Other stuff such as template

This was my first edit, i plan on doing more, cause i wanna become a spriter, i know its hard work, so don't give me that lecture, anyone who knows any good tutorials, please help me, i am currently reading tutorial from kiwinuptuo's website

I dont wanna try another template, since i only wanna be good with this template, thanks for CC

GameBoy has a point. I mean...the color tones are all softer, with a lot of darker colors. Then there's the glowing orange hair. If it's meant to be a focal point, I guess it's a good job, otherwise I'd tone it down a bit.

@LegSicon:
The orange hair color is really strange and it would look better, if he would take the sword more down in an angle more to the ground.
I know my sprites have a lower contrast. Every other color changes like contrast you can make with the screen tone function, so the color edit is a bit needless.

But thanks for reading my tutorials.^^

Hey, we started with the menu for our project.

At first: The resolution is different to normal maker games(768x512), because we are using OpenGL for rendering the tiles and events, but ist created with the RPG Maker XP. The trick is, that we export the tile arrays of the maps into an XML-file, read it with java and render it with OpenGL.

All the graphics are made by me.

@Kiwinuptuo: All I can say is wow! That's really pretty. :D And what makes it better that it's all original! I don't think there is anything wrong with it. The tileset is beautiful and the graphics are pretty. Bravo! ^^

~Hi, lets critique a little better. Constructive criticism is a must.
K

That glowing orange hair sux so hard, because they are too bright compared to rest of sprite. Other sprites have good contrast, so they are ok.

There's no decrease in FPS at all. Reflections are within the tileset itself (so, it doesn't really work for moving objects) And the lighting itself is a picture overlay. (It may end up becoming part of the tileset as well, since picture overlays only work for a map no bigger than the smallest size.)

Thanks though!

Just passing by to show a map I'm sketching for one of my projects. I made it with edits to the RTP, and resources made by myself.
It is WIP, there a lot of things to finish, but the base is that.
Sorry for the bad english, I'm brazilian

Awesome Bro

Hmm, Norton, it doesn't look too bad although something bugs the hell out of me, your player and the walls have reflections, but no one else does, it's like they're vampires and have no reflection, lol
