No, as the isn't shadow elsewhere now ^_^

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that your architecture is unlogical... the left part is a tile higher than the right part is, but they share the same roof heigth, as indicated through the connection piece...
Also, the cliffs look awkward... the right part'd be built directly 'at' it... so it'd be a flat wall, not a house... XD

@ Showkaizer:
The color palette you used gives a wonderfully sombre and serious effect. It gives the feeling that the town is older, more realistic (rather than happy-go-lucky-let's-smile-till-we-are-butchered-by-cuteness kind of feeling bright colors can give).

The only nitpicky detail I'm not quite sure of is the door. I can't quite place my finger on it, but it just seems a little flat as it is now. The awning seems to sit a little low on the wall, however, this might just be due to the door still being a work in progress. I'd also be interested in seeing how it would look if it was a few pixels wider than the door. But again, this migt not be an issue once the door is shaded :)

Very impressive work.

Looks good, but there's one problem. The right part of the house is on a higher level, but it's the same height as the left part. You should make the left side taller or the right shorter.

No, Alastyr... it was wrong before, not it's correct ^_^ Take a close look at the heigths of both parts.

@Wyatt: Though you decreased the cliffs a bit, they still'd stick into the house... so if you didn't intend that, take the cliffs away from inside the house.

Hmm... one problem I spot, when I fist looked I swore he was walking into a Tahi.

Same thing happened with me, although it is very good ccoa i cant really spot anything wrong with it, but maybe im not looking hard enough:P, is this for the game you was talking about on IRC

The top text, the bottom, or both?

And yes, this is for my game, Entropy Spiral.

EDIT: Also, Showkaizer, the awning over the door still looks flat to me, and I don't think it's entirely because the door is unshaded.

The bottom mainly.

But don't get me wrong, it's a great screen shot. Reminds me somehow of that city from Final Fantasy VIII (I can't remember the name... Esther?)

Ccoa, i like it very much apart from the... reflection things on the floor. All the white lines, you know? I just find it really off putting. Apart from that, it's really good, i like it.

I just finished the next city/populated area in my game. It's a prehistoric village located at the base of a mountain. Tell me what you think:

I apologize for making it zoomed out. I wanted to show the entire layout at once.

Let's try this again. Hopefully I'll get more than just one unhelpful reply this time.

Flagging down a taxi:

I know the rail isn't continuous along the bottom. Not enough layers. >.< I'll need to figure out some way of fixing that.

Put the tiles of the upward stairs in an "Always on Top" event. It's passible right?

I'm already using all three layers and events. And those aren't stairs. ':|

@ccoa I could've sworn those were steps too, until you said they weren't.

It makes it look like stairs to have the darker blue right next to the lighter because you want to think of them as shadows...

Can't really think of anything to change that unless you alternate the height of each blue block of color...

Well, I tried taking out the light reflections (what I could without too much trouble, anyway). I also made the darker area where the blue blocks come together a little lighter. Not sure if it made much of a difference with the step illusion.

I think it looks kinda plain without the light streaks. :-/
