Looks much better, I'd suggest putting a few things on/next to the sales table and/or moving it to the left 2/3 squares and moving the wall it's attached to over as well.

Must better this time around though!

Oh thats not a sales table. its a work shop table. Can't buy stuff here but materials and thats the rocks. Hero can actually pick them up the graphic goes away. needs work. the table with the unfinished sword and slab. is where the forging is done. the guy behind the counter is where you pay for the materials. the blacksmith. I really can't say whats going to go on with my blacksmith shop until I get a really good mine, smelt, forge system.

Look at me, mapping for almost 8 years and (according to jstreet anyway) still a terrible mapper.

Your maps are fine. :P

So are mine, J-Street just likes cluttered maps.

Finally digging out the ideas in my head, I am able to press forward with my storyline. Here is a really important scene near the end of the first dungeon.

The game is still in high beta, the fact that the hero doesn't have a name yet let alone the game shows that. But its slowly developing, and I'm loving what's coming little by little.

I try

Wath do you think, is for a my sci-fi game.

What he means is that the graphical style of the satellite dish clashes (really, really badly) with the RTP tileset.

I can't see a second image, but the first one looks nice as always... I really love the reflections on the ground, but you should make a reflection of the hero as well, preferably with another charset to fit the tileset's reflection style...
I still dislike that the windows have almost no frames and the blue, icycle-like objects on the lower level should get a more darker outline, darker than the wall they're on.
Also, I dislike you appear to have taken out the floating glass style... I liked this one, and you should keep it, no matter what the others say :P The stairs and the railing just look odd compared to the floating table...

Or, if you wanted a real Sci-Fi look, put the raised floor on L2 and on L1 draw a room. Then make the raised floor semi-see-through like tinted glass. (Using Photoshop or Fireworks or something like that).

hey, that's an amazing idea! I'll take a look at what it looks like.

@gamerage : I think I'll rather add the character's reflection on the floor, I just tested it and it looks a lot better.

@hydrolic : hey thanks!

@bluescope : I'll look at what you say. I wanted to try something different with those windows but I still have the old ones. And I didn't throw away the glass floating objects, I just didn't put them on the screen...

Well, the railings and stairs are glass and still are sticked to the ground... you should take an attempt on make them floating as cool as the other parts, too...

Selwyn, that's lovely. The simple style, as hydrolic said before, and the colors give the scene a fresh and modern sci fi mood it. Carry on with this Squall, the scripter, or Squall the tileset spriter?

You screwed up your perspective with that black area. If that's roofing then you'll need to position it better. As it is everthing looks out of dimension.

Did you use gradients to do those walls?
