well, I'll take the black part away. But I think the problem comes from the windows and the panorama too.

and, yeah I used gradients for the walls.

Well Selwyn it looks awesome. I'm a big fan of futuristic game, so I'll be looking for your release. Add some streaks to those windows and it will fix it. Right now it just looks like a hole :P

Is that reflection done with Terrain tags?

well, the stairs are (or at least should look as) floating.
Maybe without railing as you say...

Added the baseboards and shaded the attic windows, plus I redid the shadowing to conform to the bricks.

Still need to shade the door and do some grass, roads, etc.


*EDIT* I'm NOT keeping the RTP pieces. they are placeholders.

Gatehouse to a key town in my MMORPG. I made the tileset for the main building myself (well, it's an RTP edit, and the roof is from Erk's ultimate exteriors tileset.) This map is in no way finished, but the house itself is pretty much so I wanted comments on how to improve the actual house.

That is a really nice RTP edit . One of the better I've seen. but you might want to nix the shadowing underneath the archway. There should be a shadow on the ground nit the opening itself. I still think that Arshes pic looks like a little girl though , lol.

If that incline in the house is suppose to go overhead, you will need a shadow under it, because as it the perspective is completely off.

Edit: Oh and SK, thanks. Oh and Arshes probably wont feature in the gane, at the moment it is a placeholder. I never really liked that battler.
