But why is there a boat on the roof? ?_?
I'm sure they don't have to worrie about floodings in a desert?
I had the boat from the chipset which contains the palm trees, barrels and washing lines (it's the standard 2k beach chipset) and I just saw the boat and thought it would be amusing to put one on top of a roof... completely randomly. I was wondering if anyone would notice! ^_^
I suppose it might have been stored up there by someone who often goes fishing.

However, these kinds of tilesets are more error-proof than RTP-styled ones, since everything might be intended..
(like the cut-off windows in the frontestest arc..)
:x Not intended! Thanks for spotting

Only thing I'd do something about is the grass.. it seems to grow in some sort of strange shape.
In the desert, grass is very rare.. it'd only grow if there's water nearby.
And in a more random shape.
I was going to do it in a style similar to the very bottom pavement, but it didn't look right. It is, after all, a quasi-fantasy environment. Coming up on the next "page" is a couple of cyberpunk "Tatooine"-esque features, so I think that, in this established and large city, they are likely to have developed a fully working irrigation system from their nearby watersources - which are two rivers.

Anyway, is this the real size, or zoomed out?
looks good either way.
Zoomed out. It's the standard SNES size proper.

Anyway, nice use of rips, Incog, but a lot of the wall tiles... well, they weren't meant to be used like you're using them, and it looks bad.
"Wall tiles" - do you mean the standard outside walls for the buildings, or the stone walls around the arches? I know they're not how they should be used but the damn chipset didn't come with the arches proper, and I don't want to actually lose them... so I've been trying to improvise.... obviously very badly. With what I have there at the moment (I think I've used almost everything I've got) can you think of a better way to cover up the missing tiles?
