Now that Odio mentions it, it does feel a little off to me as well - like shredded paper, if that makes sense. Might be personal preference, though.

I can beta test, I have experience as a mapper, scripter, writer, spriter, pretty much everything and anything you need tested. O I like the battle style, custom or previously made?

Ah, it's shaping up nicely...Now I just need to find some cool custom battle backgrounds..

Just a suggestion, I also agree that the names over the faces are distraction, why not move them up into the blank spaces between the bars? Or say halfway between the open space and the character portrait? Using black lines to outline the white text, so that the text is still readable; also pushing the names back towards the SP bar.

All notes taken in consideration, however I don't understand the 'shredded paper' thing. . . Anyway, layout changed into this:

Yeah, this second screenshot is much better than the first =)
However the battlers seem to fly, that's a bit weird. And the battler on the right, "rosario" i mean, doesn't have shadow.

That battle system looks pretty kick-ass Thirdstrike. I'm also a fan of that pyramid tileset, Is that Mea's work? The one thing I'm not fond of is the high amount of contrast on those trees in the jungle.

Tana made the whole jungle set with a battle back, autotiles etc though she's probably taken it off by now.  As for the tomb type thing, I've made by own edit from rtp (it just looks likes Thirdstrikes), I don't know where Thirdstrikes is from.

@ Thirdstrike... Nah not showing, too unfinished, and yeah you will beat me to it!  I remember when I was going to release the big cell chamber demo in about 2 days and then suddenly I look in Ryes thread in her new demo images and she had an "old mine dungeon" that looked just like mine (but I hadn't seen the tileset used before ever before then... it was one of macks new ones...)... Isn't it just the way.

Micka Micka MAPS!!!
"Right near de beach!"

These are shots from the very beginning of the game. Still need to make new charasets lol. One of the main reasons I haven't is because I am still deciding on the scale. Let me know what you guys think...
Should the character sprites be a bit bigger? Or is that good? Or something completely different?
I also need to work on the transition between the cliff face and the sand.
The second shot is from a location that's a work in progress. Thats why the green part and sky look so bland.
The final shot also needs some ambient overlays or something. That sprite just looks superimposed.
