Still needs a lot of work . Don't worry I won't post any more screens until it's finished . It's more than slightly inspired by one of my favorite tilesets from the 2k era, Final fantasy 6, and Secret of mana 2.

There are lots and lots of tile errors in there. But one major thing that bugs me is that if your houses are going to be casting a shadow like that, every object should be. Fences, Barrels, Boxes, etc.
 
@Showkaizer: Your work inspires me to make my game faster! Love the tilesets. Dammit. >.o

Thanks. And I' looking forward to the game man. Take your time though, rushing things never really helps. Its just a hobby after all.

It's not even shaded yet , of course it's gonna have shadows .It's not finished at all and as I've said there's is much work to be done. I'll post the new screens of the final product when I can. Though the map will be different since this is just a silly slap together test map.

I feel compelled to shade that girl with the cross. Awesome work..

Hah! too late, though I shrank her down considerably, she's still a bit of a problem to shade. But you'll see once the tileset is actually done. Thanks for the comments.
 
*Shiftybill* Your maps look kinda sparce, theres not enough on them.

Also though, i like that blue thing^^ on the second screen, what is it, reminds me kind of a save point type item.
 
Lots of people suggested that my game's window was too small and too un-detailed, and the Hud cluttered the window making not much viewable space. So, back to 640x480 (640x400 for paid members - no ads).

Here's a comparison: (Old > New)

Things to add:
Bottom-right: Buttons for menu, hiding chat, etc.
Top-left: Hud showing equipped skills.

Comments would be appreciated, whether good or bad.
 
I liked the small screen, but it looks just as incredible with 640x480. But in my opinion, screen size isn't what matters, they both look great.
 
for the people who don't like to check the resource analysis section
some screens from the tilesets I'm working on.
btw my game is going to be an abs, some sceenies of the battle system will come soon.

You need to tighten up your maps though. Too much open space. The cuteness is lost in the vastness of the maps :)
And that windmill is animated.....RIGHT?

For some silly reason I decided to try stemix for a game I'm fiddling with... this, so far, is the result:

And yes, I know that two of the trees are just remakes of the original RTP trees. I like their shape. I'm also aware that the ground is very, very plain.

Also realize there's a mapping error or two on there, but it's just an example, not an actual map...
 
Kaizer: Man your work always looks fantastic, and it makes me want to work harder on my own tilesets, i really like the house roof and the grass.

Gr: Great work bud, i like the look of it all, only thing i think needs much work is the trees, imo they bring the look of the map down.


Hey peeps, here's another look at that Facile tileset i've been working on, i have made some changes to the tree (wanted a more simple look) and have created my cliff, the cliff is about 95% done, i had an idea a while back to start with a simple cliff and the create addons for it so that's what i'm going to be doing, i have also cut down on the roof saturation as well as other things, still screwing with color though.

And don't look at the pots their hideous XD, i will remake that as well as the window.
Edit: Forgot to add, i also gave the roof a softer look by taking off some dark pixels here and there.
