You know, reives, I've gotta say...
I think that your lighting effects look bad
It just makes the scene so illogically gloomy. I mean, seriously, three open windows AND candles and it's still just plain gloomy in such a small room?
Honestly, I find it hard to believe that the room would be that dark even if the windows were closed and the three candles were the only light source.
Edit: You know, now that I think about it, my bedroom has only 2 windows, is on the east side of the house in the late evening (hint - no direct sunlight) there are no lights on and my blinds are closed. It's brighter in here than it is in that screenshot

In fact, I very much agree with it, which caused me to change my interior fogging styles about a month ago. The new style might be bad in other aspect, but it's easy to do and much brighter, but its main difference is more subtle I believe, as reminded by ccoa. :> Here're two samples from the Aeria city demo:

I think they're better in the lightness aspect. There are a few wrongs with the two screenshots ^ that I can think of right now, but I'm valuing a mix of time consumption and relative quality at the moment. Any suggestions/feedback welcomed, but I'll probably just keep them in mind for future works.
Thanks in advance. (Speaking of which, I do have to go back and fix the old ones sometimes... Part of the reasons why I asked for the screenshots to not be commented was the not-so-proud fogs back then, heheh. But I still felt that it was better than no fog for supporting the point back then. Let's just drop that one though. ._.)
Rye: Me and Euphony have already discussed the character situation, so you can stop bringing that up! I have my own ideas I'm only using his fucking charsets for a small part of the game! STICK YOUR FUCKING NOSE OUT OF IT!
And yeah I do draw my inspiration for my tilesets from NC and so what!? You're not one to be talking. MV's is very similar to NC's also!

Ok I ripped the bloody couches! It's not like you didn't know that already! Everything else is recoloured or made by me except the clothing which Alania wears at THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME. Euphony has already allowed me to keep Ferns clothing for the intro and some parts afterwards.

A big fat horrible rip-off from Nadir's Canon, graphic wise, not story wise. Now forgive me if I'm wrong, but does that count as flaming? I respect that you confronted me for Euphony. However, he seems to have underestimated me. If he wanted to discuss the couches, he should have just talk to me himself I wouldn't just simply ignore him. I would try and make a comprise like we did with the sprite issue.
