Yeah to me that looks much better, it doesnt clash around the border of the cliff anymore. Alternatively, for another interesting effect, as the grasslands are arounda rocky / muddy area you could try giving the grass and trees a more orange / brown hue to seperate it even further from the rtp look. It may look interesting, it may not work, I dont know. Does look better to me now though, definately.

Looking good Diegoale2000, nice to see your still going with it, I've been trying the same way of mapping for a while and it is very time consuming. I should post something up soon.

Also, the detail on the gate on the top left and such on the top screen looks a little to washed out, if you could see some more detail it would fit in better with the rest of the screens I think

Good work though.

Diegoale2000 ~ those look lovely! The only thing that would bother me however is the characters fading into the backgrounds. Have you tried to give them an outline so they stand out just a bit?

The old one was getting long, and seemed to have that "it shows there's another page but there isn't" glitch a lot, so here's take II. Please post screenshots of your games here!

Find the old screenshot thread here.

Don't panic, I will be merging the last couple pages of posts or so into this thread in a moment.

naa I think what hes doing is good... i wish i knew i was not the first :( im doing a map system like that... thought i was the first to try it on ere but never mind :D

I like the style... where going for a more pencil drawn back ground and yours is like water paints :D it should be good to see :D good luck

Damn I should start to produce some screenshots before people accuse me of copying you as well then :p

Rye: I tried Outlines, and even the slightest outline makes the characters Look Horribly out of place, they clash with the style.
Don't worry, i've made sure the colors of the characters do not blend too much with the BGs. as You may see NPCs have some vivid colors, etc. The Main Characters, with all the moving around, never seem to mesh too much. (in a good way of course)

Clest: Wow, I'm flattered, glad I helped you give RMXP a chance :)

XcuMaSoft, as the name of the thread implies, this thread is for screenshots. If you want feedback on a resource, post it in Resource Analysis, please.

Wow, a lot of good stuff on here.

Heres something in my game, in an area you encounter midway through the game.

Haven't named the area yet. Obviously, its not your average water area (If the green glow didn't tip you off)

I'm thinking it has too much of a glow though.
