ewww i hate the way kaiser holds his weapon is it really nessecary but then the compactness of the weapon makes the weight more on one part rather than dispersing evenly so *sign* it a battle weight the small object is the heavier so i geuss disregard this

That's just the way things look when you take a screenshot of the map while zoomed out, at the average zoom theres no white line.

As for the dullness, I'll see what I can do..

Edit: Oh, I noticed an error in one tree near the bottom of the path, ah well

Seems like a lot of people just like to make big maps. Unless you can explore the whole map, it really is a waste of time. Sometimes, I don't even finish the whole map because the player will only see certain parts of it. Saves a bit of time in the end. But, I do agree that you need some more life in that screen.

I'm open to any advice anyone will give. The only thing that mgiht be really out of place is a cat in a forest, but that's quest related. I also messed up in paint, but couldn't shrink the parts not in use.

Oh Yeah , and the map above mines is way to big.

RPG Death Pocket, I think you'd benefit from some time in the Mapping Improvement Thread.

1) There's an error in the water, where you have a grass tile over it.

2) The tall grass is too square and missing two tiles on top.

3) For a forest, there sure aren't very many trees.

4) That bunny and bird seem awfully tame. Not afraid of that soldier at all.

5) Your water is too straight. Nature is random, only man-made things form perfect lines.

6) The dark grass autotile has perfect squares of light grass around the plants. It looks very odd.

7) If that's the whole map, there's nothing stopping the player from walking right up to 3 of the 4 edges. Unless you have a Transfer event on every single one of those squares, that's a big no-no. Block the edges with trees, undulations, water, etc.

8) Try placing your plants more logically. Yes, they should be somewhat random, but like plants tend to grow together. Also, some plants like water, and you'd find a lot of that kind by the water's edge, while others don't need so much water, and would be farther away.

9) Why is there a campfire set up in the middle of the map? First, it wouldn't be on grass, campfires should be on dirt. Second, that doesn't look like a likely camping spot, who camps in the middle of a trail? Third, where are the campers? Who sets up a campfire, then leaves it?

The old one was getting long, and seemed to have that "it shows there's another page but there isn't" glitch a lot, so here's take II. Please post screenshots of your games here!

Flamefox, that is just a bunch of trees randomly place. It looks ugly, uncreative, and extremely boring. I'd start from scratch with that and do something a little more appealing.

The rocks are higher than the grass. Look at the side view, and you can see that they stick up from the ground. There's no way those short blades of grass would be tall enough to stick up over them. :/

I do intend to make versions for the bottoms and top sides and back with grass blades overlapping them, as I said before.

Anyway, the map itself...:thumb: its awsome, just like always AR. I like you balcony, quite creative. I have some doubts about the door and what is under it though...:s and the tree on the left it looks cut. The two rocks right of the waterfall looks like they are going to fall, too. Other then that its a masterpiece.
 
I like the map as well, very well built.
But I can point out one mistake, I guess. The bottom right big tree, there's a mistake there.
And shouldn't there be a door in order to access the balcony?
