damn that would take 5-7mins to navigate thourgh the map but other than the amazingly largenessness of it ilike it...cept for the tree in front of the upper most house the fence goes over the top of the tree

I had to use two layers for the fence, that part of the tree is covered by events. Here's another map, just finished, directly east of my previous one..

Hmm. I dont like that one as much as the other, though this may just be my personal opinion. I feel like the Giant Tree that you use it best made slightly rarer, with more of the smaller trees around instead.

Flamerfox: the only thing I do not like is how some of the trees are set up. Some of them seem to be going in a straight line or in a noticeable pattern. Do you think you could do some edits to have some batches of big trees around so it doesn't look so sparse? Unless of course you were aiming for that, then just ignore the ramblings of a grain. ^^

Flamerfox:

I agree with Rye, first thing I noticed is the trees all look like they are in a pattern and/or the same distance apart....up close it may not be as noticable though as it is in the full picture map..otherwise I like them.

Mmm I'll have to agree, though I was thinking that I could always use events to show trees, only on cliffs that aren't accesible to the player, though. I tried it once before, and it looks pretty good.

But, yes, it does look better in game. ^^

I've been trying different colour tones for the exterior tileset for my game.

Basically just messing with the hues and saturation in fireworks :)

But anyway, the things changed in this map are:
-Sat/hue of trees
-Sat/hue of all the types of grass (long, short, normal, different coloured)
-Sat/hue of the light wooden house

I reckon it's a big improvement:

It really does make a huge difference to the map and makes it look a lot better IMO. Well Done, it keeps it looking a bit more realisitic and less like the cartoony look they went for with the RTP >_>

Wyatt, those scraggly branches coming out from behind the leaves on the brown trees isn't doing it for me. It looks like the leaves were just... put on top of the tree without leaves.
